.@breenymeany will be in @OrmstonHouse on Saturday between 11.30 and 2 to talk to anyone interested in joining a casual outdoor skating group.
Anyone interested in getting involved with RollerDerby can DM us to register their interest for when we recruit later in the year.
LRD stand in solidarity with the people of #Afghanistan.
We're planning a skating event to raise funds to support relief efforts and the displaced. In the meantime we'd urge our followers to donate to this fund -

This is quite the story.
@KannoYoungs works for the NYT, covers the White House and is a @cnn analyst - a prestigious journalist by any measure. But he also has a phone number mistaken by almost everyone for Rollerworld, the disco-era rink near Boston. This is his story. bostonmagazine.com/news/2021…

Really pleased to see this glow up from our friends in Ma Hogan's, as they get ready to reopen next week.
What a difference in six months. We boarded up in March but sunlight is pouring in our windows and our new colours make the building look resplendent. Looking forward to seeing many of our friends next week. #SupportNotSympathy #Limerick
We'd encourage @RollerJamLk to get signed up and for people to buy vouchers to support them. #supportlocal

Last week Ireland adopted tough additional measures designed to limit the spread of #COVID19.
It has been a truly nationwide effort to stop the spread of this virus & to protect the vulnerable. We need to keep it going. We need to #FlattenTheCurve even more than we have.

Ok this is going to work in rounds.
Rounds will be ordered by sports eg. the ice hockey round. Winners of each round will then face off against each other until we find a winner!
Even though we can't skate together during #IrelandLockdown we're still meeting virtually every Sunday to keep our fitness training up - improvising weights with our skates and tins.
LRD are mourning the loss of one of our own. Ruth Frost / Square Ruth was a force to be reckoned with both on and off track. She loved life and grabbed it with both hands, bringing us all along with her infectious enthusiasm.
In line with government recommendations regarding social restrictions, and following the steps many other sport organisations have taken we have suspended all training, effective immediately, until March 29th.

Insurance premiums had been increasing by 10% every year, but the 30% hike in 2019 put the nail in the coffin for this amenity. #CompoCulture is taking fun activities away from Irish children @InsuranceRefIre @BrianLeddin – at Limerick, Ireland
