High quality writing is mostly re-writing and re-re-writing. You won't get it right the first time. So be a bit kinder to your first drafts. They are a work in progress. They give you something to work with. #PhDForum #EMCRforum #acwri #SUAW

Nothing is more empowering than teaching/reading a powerful voice in America today like @KieseLaymon @LinfieldUniv and then going as a class to hear him engage in a brutally honest conversation with @AdamDavisOHm @orhumanities. Students were thrilled to take a photo with Kiese!

If you are starting on a piece of writing, start by writing or dictating as many words as possible.
You need a large mass of words to work with initially.
Don't worry about quality, structure, or spellings.
Just put words on the page/screen so the blank page doesn't scare you.
