CHANGE OF CHARACTER (CHoCH) 📈📉 IDENTIFYING POTENTIAL TREND CHANGES A Change of Character (CHoCH) occurs when price breaks a significant internal or structural level against the prevailing order flow, potentially signalling a shift in market direction. However, a CHoCH is not a guarantee of a trend reversal. It can produce false signals, especially when viewed in isolation. How to identify a CHoCH: 1. Identify the existing structure: Establish the prevailing bullish or bearish order flow and identify significant swing highs and lows. 2. Watch for a structural break: In a bearish structure, look for price to break a significant lower high. In a bullish structure, look for price to break a significant higher low. 3. Observe the reaction: Study how price behaves after the break. Look for displacement and a meaningful change in order flow. 4. Seek confluence: Validate the potential shift using MTF analysis, Supply & Demand, Liquidity and Premium/Discount.
