Excited to share our preprint on sequencing extracellular/cellular rRNA to determine lysis in ~17k prokaryotic taxa, led by @kevinzhong2006. Rare taxa show high lysis, consistent with "kill-the-winner". Would love your comments biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/….
