✅ 5-year relative survival has increased dramatically from 32% in the mid-1990s to 62% in 2015-2021 (and certainly better nowadays)
⭐️This represents one of the largest survival gains among high-mortality cancers⭐️
🛑Estimated new cases in 2026: 36,000 total
✅ 5-year survival is virtually equal across races - 62% (White) vs 63% (Black) 👏
⭐️One of the FEW cancers with no survival disparity, proof that when breakthrough treatments reach everyone, equity IS achievable⭐️
And yes, myeloma is a curable malignancy for some patients, the goal is to make it curable for most
