Two footballers.
Same birth year.
Both taken far too soon.
Diogo Jota (1996β2025)
JesΓΊs de Miguel (1996β2026)
One left three young children and a wife he had married just days earlier.
The other left a little girl who will barely remember her fatherβs face.
One was celebrating a Premier League title and a Nations League win.
The other was chasing a ball in stoppage time, doing the only thing he knew how to do fighting for his team.
Football gave them purpose, joy, and identity.
In the end, it couldnβt protect them.
We keep saying βthere are no words.β
But the silence is deafening.
The pitch will keep going.
The matches will continue.
But somewhere, two little families are learning how to live with a hole that will never close.
Rest in peace, Diogo.
Rest in peace, JesΓΊs.
You both deserved so much more time.

Tonight 9pm @GBNEWS I have a big announcement - weβre going to buy homeless veterans a house! It is a national scandal that so many veterans are homeless. We find the money for everyone else in Britain (and around the world!) but not those who fought for us. See you at 9pm with all the details!

Today is always the hardest day. We only ever got to spend one single birthday with you before you were taken from us, and the pain of every missing year never fades.

Well said, Ross Kemp πΊπππ
On the Thames today for the Poppy Appeal launch, he said: "The hardest thing is coming home and looking into the eyes of the mothers who lost their sons.
So it's poignant we think about families when buying a Poppy."
That's why we wear one. Not politics. Not war. The mums, the wives, the kids left behind.
Buy a poppy. Look the seller in the eye. It's the least we can do.

π¨ π‘ππͺ: Jack Grealish has donated Β£10,000 to help an Everton fan and father of THREE who is battling aggressive cancer.
The 35-year-old supporter, Leon, has been told he may have just ONE TO THREE YEARS left to live.
His partner launched a fundraising campaign to help pay for treatment and give him more precious time with their three young sons, aged just 2, 3 and 10.
After seeing the family's heartbreaking story on social media, Jack Grealish quietly stepped in with a HUGE Β£10,000 donation.
This is NOT the first time Grealish has helped families in need. Over the years, he has made several donations towards cancer treatments, funerals and other charitable causes.
Fans have praised the England international for his kindness, with many pointing out that he rarely publicises his charitable gestures himself.
