Anyway, if you want to buy a copy of it, you can. DM me and I’ll share the link if I trust you. I’m not posting my legal name on fuckin X dot com for a multitude of reasons.

This is because she’s the best. I wouldn’t have done this myself, like ever. But when she gave it to me, it was really great to have a physical copy of this book that I worked on for years.

I came in second place in multiple book contests! It was wild shit. But no one would put it out. So then it just sat on my computer for the last 8 years. For my 40th birthday, my wife surprised me and had it made as a print on demand Amazon hardcover.

I wrote a book from 2011-2016. It was a novel-in-stories, and all of it was published in various literary magazines of repute from 2013-2017. Anyway, as one does, I tried to get an agent and failed. I submitted it to indies, and they also did not want it (stories don’t sell)

If you’re new to writing, your writing is stuck, or you just want some great feedback, consider @housleydave’s workshop. It’s well-run, you’ll meet some other great writers, and have fun. So go sign up.

Is there a support group for people who have a lot of extra time on their hands but are writing less because the real world is much more messed up than the fiction they're writing? We may need to pay submission fees for people who are actually accomplishing something.

After much (not really) deliberation, it is with deep sadness that we announce there will be no #LitMagMadness this year. To be honest, it was virtually impossible once that other #MarchMadness thing was canceled. It's not like we can make up our own brackets. Or could we?

This is a great story. Go read it.

Oh, the humanity!
My husband just informed me casually that he double spaces after each period and I don’t know how I’m going to afford raising two children on a single woman’s salary.

Very happy that my story, "Slipping Away" was published in @CrbOrchdReview. Very sad that their managing editor, Jon Tribble, passed away before the issue came out. Very appreciative of those who worked so hard to get it out during this difficult time. issuu.com/craborchardreview/…

Here's to the poets who haven't been published in an elite journal, who don't enter contests because they don't have the money, who weren't nominated for any prizes this year, who don't have an MFA or a book but who keep writing because THEY HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY. Don't quit. ❤
