If you have money for weapons, you have money to fix poverty. Inexcusable to back arms investment while saying you cannot afford to pay nurses a proper wage.

So now you as our government officially protect racist & fascistic language from the inhumane security risk that's our Home Secretary. I'd never seen this sort of despicable behaviour before Boris Johnson & his successors have been actively destroying our democracy. Shameful.

The Home Secretary clearly said: “I won't apologise for the language that I have used to demonstrate the scale of the problem." She refuses to apologise for the divisive and inflammatory rhetoric she uses, and that is reprehensible.

If MPs are diligent ,hardworking and honest how come many can find time to take multiple jobs as well as parliamentary duties? Also, the "pairing "system is just an excuse for them to be absent from the House ...We need a rethink on how we're governed.

Sara Mardini, whose story was told in the Netflix film 'The Swimmers', faces 20 years in prison if convicted today. She was volunteering with a search & rescue team to bring people ashore in Greece. She and her colleagues now face people smuggling charges. hrw.org/news/2022/12/22/gree…

Grant Shapps appears to have now deleted a tweet that had deleted the former PM Boris Johnson from a photograph of the two of them...
Why has former PM Boris Johnson been removed from this photo? @beisgovuk is working on a statement I'm told.

Jeez. I can’t believe after posting this I immediately start losing followers. What more can do or say? We have got to work together to counter this Governments breathtaking dishonesty. It’s the only way. Let me know if you’re still with me
This desperate Government is shamelessly engaging in misinformation, outright lies & breathtaking dishonesty about practically everything. It’s going to take all of us working TOGETHER to beat it

A brave woman in Afghanistan, with a child in her hand, writes “Education, Work, Freedom” on a wall. Women are now using graffiti as a form of protest. We MUST NOT forget the women of Afghanistan. They need us now more then ever. Be their voice!

Yesterday, the government invited unions in for talks. Today, it is legislating to override their right to strike. Any government that forces people to work against their will has no interest in reasonable dialogue. Stop posturing and give workers the pay rise they deserve.

BREAKING 🚨 | The first reading of the bill to restrict the right to strike is TODAY. If passed, this will mean health, education and other key workers will be forced to work - and SACKED if they don't comply. MPs must reject this cynical legislation.

BREAKING: Bernie Sanders, incoming chair of the Senate Committee overseeing health care, has written Moderna urging it to halt its vaccine price increase from $26 to $130. He calls out that the vaccine costs just $2.85 to produce, and that public funds subsidized its development.

The attempted coup in Brazil has not just struck fear into the hearts of those who remember the scenes in the US. It has struck fear into the hearts of those who remember what the far-right are capable of in their own land. My piece for @tribunemagazine. tribunemag.co.uk/2023/01/jer…

Totally backing Harry, years ago I was told by a top journalist it was Camilla leaking info. Journalist hide behind the newspaper they write for, the royals hide behind Buckingham Palace. Harry speaks up and hides behind no one. #HarryandMeghan #HarryTheInterview

My son was removed from class twice last week and two after school detention because he didn’t have the school branded bag (the strap had broken) sent my mum to buy him a new one, £30! This has got to stop. Luckily I could afford it but I know most can’t so what would happen?

With the Energy Price Guarantee currently set at £2,500, the government is paying a subsidy in excess of £1,000 per household to energy retailers. A reminder, if I may, that the same energy companies are making £1 billion profit a week. A total rip-off Renationalise Energy

Instead of playing tough against the unions and trying to take us all back to the Victorian era in respect of workers' rights to withdraw their labour in protest against their employers' actions, The Tory Party is setting the current discontent into a National Strike!.
