Good morning Chinley, Chapel and Manchester from the top of Eccles Pike.

Another afternoon and early morning trip with Steve Wood, moving Bream from Milton on the Caldon to Stone on the Trent & Mersey Canal. A Stokie welcoming party met us as we left Planet Lock.

The end of the Caldon #Canal is among the country’s most scenic waterways. A pleasure to spend another afternoon with Steve Wood on Bream from Froghall to Denford.

Three excellent days in Dunfermline with @HTNmembers for this year’s Heritage Trust Network conference. Great to learn about good practice, see some wonderful projects, catch up with old friends and make new contacts.

Good to take a bit of a break on Friday and help Steve Wood take Bream from Etruria to Park Lane on the Caldon Canal (8.5 miles, 9 locks). We also dropped in at the open day at Stockton Brook Waterworks to look at their exciting plans.

Today’s paddle was from Charmouth, with views towards Lyme Regis and Golden Cap. Hard work with the swell so headed back for a cuppa after an hour or so.

On visit to Sidmouth where the the Sid Vale Association was set up in 1846 and became the country’s first civic society.
