I don’t want to post the video. You’ve all seen it. But I do want to write a love letter…
Dear everyone in Britain, ( even you illegals)
Just so you understand. The poppy is for the boys who never got to grow old. For the boys who were still somebody’s baby, brother, uncle or father. More than 600,000 of them.
It doesn’t matter if you support war, hate your country, think you are a woman (even though you are a man). It doesn’t matter which God you pray to, or if you pray to none at all.
It doesn’t matter who you vote for, what climate narrative you believe, or whether you believe Israel should exist or not!
The poppy isn’t for you!
It’s for those who came before. Those who fought for your right to be weird, annoying or even foreign.
The poppy is how we say thank you. Thank you for giving us time, peace and choice.
And attempting to ban our poppy by declaring it politically divisive isn’t a move towards freedom. It is an act of suppression. Understand that.
The poppy is about love and loss. For you!
So stick your rainbow flags and every other flag where the sun doesn’t shine and just wear your poppy. Those boys did not die as symbols. They died for you!
Did you know that poppies grew across the battlefields where so many fell? As though even the land refused to forget the blood once given to defend it.
So the poppy is for them. For those who came before us and paid in youth, in hope, in breath, in blood, so that we might have the freedom to be arseholes.
So that we might even have the freedom to fight over the ridiculous, the inconsequential and the insane.
Revere it, celebrate it and wear it. The very least you can do is that.
Best
The ordinary people.

Here is Ed Miliband smiling for the cameras with Iran’s foreign minister (Abbas Araghchi), the face of the regime that hangs, blinds, and executes its own people by the thousands.
This came weeks after he imposed sanctions on Israeli communities in Judea and Samaria, to score points with Labour’s Muslim voting blocs.
Iran’s state media celebrated it as a step toward “the end of Israel.” Hamas praised him. The regime that funds Hamas, Hezbollah, and missiles aimed at London got a handshake and a photo op at the UN. Israel got punished.
Alex is right. You do not blindly follow corrupt politicians who sacrifice their own country’s interests, its security, and its citizens just to stay in power and keep the sectarian vote.
Miliband and Labour chose the side of the executioners over the side of the only democracy in the Middle East that actually fights them.
This is what Labour has become.
What is going on? @Alexarmstrong is allowed to say no. Loving your country does not mean handing politicians a blank cheque with your life attached.
If freedom means anything, surely it includes the freedom to refuse to fight in a "war" without being publicly branded a coward.
Peter Bleksley and the interrupting sidekick can go instead. They seem keen... so go then...sign up...

Today I took my friend Terry from London around the Maritime Museum and the #HeadscarfRevolutionaries exhibit. We met Ian who showed us the tattoo on his arm. Then had lunch in the cafe where I saw my name on the wall for the first time. I’m so proud I am to be a patron.

Grown adults are currently trying to fix a cow's breath, and so far they have tried:
- A face mask that burns off her burps
- A royal design prize for the mask, worth £50,000
- Red seaweed from Australia, mixed into her feed
- A chemical additive, made compulsory in Denmark from October 2025
- Over 200 complaints from Danish dairy farmers within weeks
- Sick herds made exempt that November
- Dairies in Norway and Sweden pausing it altogether
- A fresh safety review ordered by Brussels in February 2026
- Breeding her to burp less, discussed at a summit in Ireland this month
- The United Nations' nuclear agency, also this month
The mask came from a team of Royal College of Art graduates and was judged by the then Prince of Wales and the man who designed the iPhone. The additive was meant to cut her methane by about a third, and Danish farmers say it cut their milk and put cows on the floor.
Every item on that list starts from the same assumption, that the problem is the cow.
She has been breathing out the same field for ten thousand years, and the only thing that's changed is the number of people standing behind her with a clipboard.

"We'd start you on the weekly weight-loss injection. Around 15% off in the first year."
And when I stop?
"We don't think of it as something you stop."
Humour me.
"In the trial, people put two thirds of it back inside a year."
So it rents me a break from the hunger.
"It manages a chronic condition."
What comes off, exactly?
"Weight."
What kind?
"...Mostly fat."
And the rest?
"In the trial, about four kilos in every ten were lean tissue."
So I pay monthly to get smaller and weaker, and the month I stop I get bigger.
"That's one way to put it."
How do you put it?
"Lifelong therapy."

🚨BBC Puts Ex-Convict Who Called Hamas Attacks “Resistance” in Charge of AI News Standards
Hicham Yezza, the BBC’s principal data scientist for Responsible AI, was jailed for nine months in 2009 after lying to immigration officials about his right to remain in Britain. A judge called it deliberate deceit. A year earlier he was arrested under the Terrorism Act when an al-Qaeda training manual turned up on his University of Nottingham computer; he and a colleague were freed without charge after saying it was for academic research. Before joining the corporation he publicly branded Israel an apartheid regime built on stolen land and described rockets fired from Gaza as resistance. The BBC insists none of this relates to his current job guiding how AI handles its news. Critics will ask how a man with that record ended up shaping the broadcaster’s AI standards at all.
