Imagine growing up in absolute dirt poverty in east Tennessee, daughter of a tobacco farmer, going to school wearing rags your mother stitched into a coat, and when you die the British royal family has its military band play your up-the-workers country-pop anthem in tribute.
I haven't seen the Odyssey yet, so I have no comment there, but I must say to all those screaming that the movie isn't like the book--we, the readers of the world, are saying "Yeah?"

It really warms my heart to see people who used to complain so bitterly about woke universities now insisting that the same universities produce gold standard evidence in just one or two studies. There is hope for higher ed after all.
