The irony of Lizandro Martinez calling out Man United's board is if Man United were a well-run club, Lizandro Martinez wouldn't be playing for them.
Marnus just never looked like an elite batsman even when he was churning the hundreds out. His demise is a good advert for the eye test.
I know tougher conditions = less output isn't exactly groundbreaking, but imagine how different Warner's Test career would have been if their recent pitches came around 2014-2017 instead.
And that's why I prefer England playing the Exiles to playing France.
If French RL is to ever turn a corner, it won't come from games like that.
This debate comes out every International cycle. Our top profiles probably would benefit from the NRL.
However, I'd prioritise SL. SL would suffer more than the International game would gain from England's best players going to the NRL. And the domestic game takes up more time.

The thing is the above post is totally contradictory. He’s openly encouraging top English players to go to the NRL to improve but then saying the need for SL to improve itself lol. SL can only improve by retaining homegrown talent and incentivising clubs doing that.
McDermott likes second phase play. Saw a lot of it in 2015 when he was at Leeds.
England have been more adventurous than last autumn, but Tonga have got across their line well in defence so far.
Different approach, but a similar story of not enough creativity.
Red zone defence was also not good enough. Tonga's strong carries there built momentum. Containing them with some of our best forwards missing was a struggle, though we would have probably still lost with them.
I'd have given Holroyd a punt. He was Leeds' best forward in both their visits to Belle Vue.
Kallum Watkins has been added to the #EnglandRL Men's squad for the @rugbyleaguewcup 🏴
He will replace Morgan Smithies who has been ruled out via injury 🏉
An ageing Australia beating SA's best side since 2018 would be peak Nothing Ever Happens.
Hope Rabada's fitness situation doesn't overshadow the series.
This time 4 years ago, Wakefield had just lost Johnstone, and were in the doldrums on & off the pitch with relegation an inevitability.
Fast forward to now - Tom has just won MOTM in our first ever Grand Final win.
How good?
Scott has been a great signing. Glad he'll always have this.
"It's been the best two years of my career, hands down."

Wigan this season have been a bit like quite a few Guardiola & Ferguson PL seasons (sorry for cross-sport equivalence).
Chasing the leaders for much of the year, but everyone knows they're the best team.
They were brilliant at Belle Vue.
I hope the players who didn't play last night are acknowledged & celebrated today. Without their contributions through the season, we may not have done it.
