It’s exactly that! But so much more. You can sell your creative work on the app, get your music on the apps radio. But not only that, it’s a marketplace for creative talent. You can use Socket to connect directly with whatever you need. A writer needs an illustrator, a rapper needs a singer for a hook..I’d love to discuss it further if you’re interested. Sorry the msg is so long. 😂😂

Someone asked about Socket and I began to get in depth about the app
Here’s what I wrote:
Socket is an app for creators to thrive and get their work in front of people much easier than current apps allow. It’s a system where creators of all types will be able to collab and work together to build each other. That’s why I turned your writing into an audiobook to kind of show you a glimpse of what would happen on my app.
It’s very artist focused in the sense of the in app currency. I know that sounds scary but when you hear how it works you’ll know you’ve never heard anything like it.
Socket has an in app currency called Plugs. You purchase plugs within the app at a 1 for 1 rate. $10=10🔌 You can spend those plugs however you want in the app. You can donate to artists you like, they can donate to you. Your fans/followers can give you plugs every time you post almost like when people give money on TikTok lives. Your earned plugs go into an in app wallet that you can then withdraw at 100% earned. Socket just takes 3% fee on all withdrawals.
Music artists can sell albums, songs, etc
Writers can sell books or collab with illustrators. Booking inquiries are all in the app
It’s really something and I would love for you to check it out. There are so many more features I could go on and on about
We have a sparking tab on The Cable feed that highlights new creators instead of the big names so everyone is seen. Random artist spotlights so everyone is seen.
Live radio from the app
Should I go further into the apps features or let you all find out when you JOIN getsocket.app as Founders and help shape this app to build our futures?

PHILADELPHIA POLICE RELEASE OFFICIAL DETAILS OF DEADLY SHOOTING THAT KILLED OFFICER SHANE SEIBER; SUSPECT IDENTIFIED
The Philadelphia Police Department has released an official statement detailing the events surrounding the fatal shooting of Officer Shane Seiber and the wounding of his partner in West Philadelphia early Saturday morning.
According to police, the incident began at approximately 12:17 a.m. on October 10, 2026, when two officers assigned to the 19th District responded to a report of a person with a gun at 140 North 52nd Street.
While investigating, the officers encountered a man on the porch of the property. Police say a struggle ensued, during which both officers were shot.
Responding officers arrived to find both officers unresponsive on the porch. Fellow officers immediately transported them to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center for emergency treatment.
Tragically, Officer Shane Seiber, 40, was pronounced dead at 9:04 a.m. as a result of his injuries.
Seiber joined the Philadelphia Police Department in September 2016 and had served in the 19th District since January 2018. He leaves behind his wife and two young children.
His partner, a 33-year-old officer, has served with the department for nine years and has been assigned to the 19th District since December 2018. He was shot 12 times and was last reported in stable condition.
Police confirmed that additional gunfire occurred following the initial encounter, prompting authorities to declare a barricade situation.
SWAT personnel responded and ultimately took Eric Lewis, 35, into custody.
Lewis was transported to a hospital for evaluation before being taken to the Homicide Unit for further investigation.
Authorities say Lewis faces charges of murder, attempted murder, and numerous related offenses.
The Philadelphia Police Department confirmed that its Homicide Unit is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
Officer Seiber dedicated a decade of his life to serving and protecting the people of Philadelphia. His death leaves behind a grieving family, fellow officers, and an entire community mourning his loss.
Our thoughts remain with Officer Seiber’s family and his wounded partner as he continues his recovery.
The information released by police is preliminary and subject to change as the investigation continues. Lewis is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
This is wild!
EXCLUSIVE VIDEO: PHILADELPHIA POLICE OFFICERS RISK THEIR LIVES TO SAVE WOUNDED COLLEAGUES AS GUNFIRE ERUPTS IN WEST PHILLY
In an extraordinary display of courage, Philadelphia police officers rushed to save two critically wounded colleagues during Saturday morning’s deadly ambush in West Philadelphia.
Exclusive video obtained by Philly Crime Update captures the harrowing moments immediately following the shooting.
The footage shows responding officers carrying their wounded colleagues into patrol vehicles and rushing them to emergency medical care.
As officers worked to save their fellow officers, another volley of gunfire erupted at the scene.
Despite the danger, officers continued their efforts to get the wounded men to safety.
Tragically, Officer Shane Seiber, 40, a 10-year veteran of the Philadelphia Police Department and father of two, died from his injuries.
His 33-year-old partner, a father of five who was shot 12 times, survived and was last reported in stable condition.
These officers did not hesitate when their colleagues needed them most. Their actions deserve recognition.
Our deepest condolences remain with Officer Seiber’s family and the Philadelphia Police Department.
VIEWER DISCRETION ADVISED: This video contains intense scenes and sounds of gunfire. Images of the wounded officers have been blurred out of respect for their privacy and families.
