Stonewall has been given unprecedented access to Downing Street and helped the Labour Government draw up its “chilling” Conversion Practices Bill. The Telegraph has revealed that the controversial charity has been supplying Downing Street with research to justify the proposed law. Under the Bill, parents, therapists and religious leaders could face up to five years in prison for having important conversations with gender-confused children or sharing their faith’s teachings on sex, gender and marriage with their congregations. Stonewall’s head of policy was reportedly invited to a meeting at 10 Downing Street to discuss the proposed law and made recommendations to the MPs scrutinising the Bill. Dennis Kavanagh, director of the Gay Men’s Network and a criminal barrister, said his organisation had not been offered similar meetings. He told The Telegraph: “The level of government access afforded to Stonewall is extraordinary, particularly in view of their extreme position on gender matters and their poor track record in accurately stating the law.” Published in June, the Bill’s impact assessment cited a Stonewall survey to argue that conversion practices were so prevalent that new legislation was needed — even though conversion practices are already illegal. Our parents and grandparents fought for democracy, sovereignty, and independent nation-states. Not an undemocratic, illiberal, centralised bloc that tells nations what to do. Lisa Nandy can jog on.

On Remembrance Sunday Lisa Nandy has claimed that no one in Britain has had to fight a war since WW2. What about the 7,193 British soldiers who have sacrificed their lives in conflicts ranging from the Korean War to Afghanistan? While she erases their service, the country will never forget their bravery. Remembrance Sunday is a sacred day, not to be cynically used by Labour to justify closer ties to the EU. Whatever the merits of their argument - and I believe reopening the Brexit wars is both a colossal waste of energy and a strategic disaster when national sovereignty is more important than ever - this is not the day for it. It’s disappointing that Nandy and Andy Burnham, who presumably agreed to this, have failed so badly to meet the moment.

Turkish barbers, delivery drivers and those who run vape shops are all of a sudden "businesspeople", and, Lammy, one of the stupidest politicians the free world has ever seen, thinks the government is discriminating against them.
The Home Office's treatment of Turkish businesspeople applying for ILR through the Ankara Agreement is outrageous and reminiscent of the Windrush Scandal. Callous and careless mistakes are being made with devastating impacts. The Home Office must act now. theguardian.com/politics/202…

Great to see Nigel Farage finally have the honour of laying a wreath at the Cenotaph. Arguably, no politician has fought harder for the British people over the past 20 years. But today is bigger than politics. It's a poignant moment to remember the brave men and women who gave their lives so that we could enjoy the freedoms we have today. We will remember them.

Not just nuts, downright dangerous propaganda.
WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus blames higher rates of cancer and heart disease on the "climate crisis". 🤡 Of course, it couldn't possibly have anything to do with those mRNA injections you coerced most of the planet into taking, could it? 🤡

Holy shit (literally)
I haven't been on this site for a bit. But I haven't seen anyone share the photo the New Statesman staff staged in 2013 of Russell Brand as Christ, and themselves as his disciples. It seems to have been scrubbed from the web. It made me angry then and it makes me angry now.

“They gave their lives for what? The country of today? The sacrifice wasn’t worth what it is now.”
On national TV a year ago, the late #WWII veteran Alec Penstone gave a devastating message. Alongside almost half a million miliary and Merchant Navy personnel and civilians, he fought to save Britain from its enemies - those who sought to steal from us our liberty. Yet before he passed away aged 101 this May, Alec felt the freedom he indefatigably defended had slipped away. What level of thanks is that?

This shameless government lays wreaths at the Cenotaph today despite hating our country, its veterans, and defunding our military defence for a selfish political ideology of state control and undemocratic dictatorship. Since 1914, more than 1.7 million men and women from Britain and across the Commonwealth have given their lives in the service of our nations. They came from every continent, faith and background, united by duty, courage and sacrifice. We live with the freedoms they defended that this government is trying to quash, and we must never allow their sacrifice to be forgotten. RIP

🚨War Heroes Booted Out Days Before Remembrance While Asylum Seekers Get Priority Housing Around a dozen British veterans who served in Iraq and elsewhere are being turfed out of Stone Court in Torquay just days before Remembrance Sunday, after the government’s Reducing Veterans’ Homelessness scheme refused to extend their temporary funding, with eviction looming by March. Referred by the Royal British Legion, men like PTSD-suffering Iraq veteran Scott Marshall and former sailor Maurice Quinlan—who had been sleeping rough—now face the street. Marshall called it “disgraceful,” pointing out that asylum seekers who have just arrived are being given houses while those who put their lives on the line for the country are shown the door.
