2026- this one might be the worst actually. Those cars were batshit insane at intermediates and low grip tracks, and they STILL are, even after the rule changes. They put 4 cars in realistic contention (11, 19, 20, 45) and 3 of them made critical errors (11 Vegas, 19 Bristol, 20 homestead) to put them out of contention.
Overall a pretty good episode while I drink some iced coffee @jeff_gluck . I agreed with Jeff more on it not being totally over. However I feel every episode ignores the Truck series and O’Reilly championship battles too much. There’s a very interesting dynamic among those both.

Derek is one of the best superspeedway spotters, telling drivers to hold it wide open is extremely common because normally you aren’t running 100% since you’re backing up to get a run.. that’s how you build momentum
If any team in the garage was going to pull over for another guy, it’s certainly not going to be the RCR 33 team/driver. Derek was holding him back to build a run off the 34, then once the had the run was letting him know to go get the 47.
