That's how I am in real life too.
Not much meandering.
I like a point and a destination. Don't need a map, but I like a time frame.
A to B.
B to C.
Still, there's style in the meandering. Maybe I'll do more of it.
Just a dash. Just for taste.
Closest I came to parsing out back stories in my novels was TOUCHED and LOST WAGES.
I think I'll start adding some to side characters though.
Most of my plots are action heavy. Move the story. Get to the payoff quick.

Back at baseball this weekend. Came home with the gold last week.
This week I've been working Amazon-exclusive series and outlining stuff for Medium and another platform.
Platforms reward exclusivity now. Feels like walking uphill in the dark sometimes.

Wonder if there's one for animals that doesn't cost as much for quick visits.
Or a Vet subscription - not one BIG bill, a monthly payout that includes services.

Next day, the groomer.

I'm dog tired of taking animals to see the doctor more than I do.
