Teaching “Sit”
Say “sit” & hold a treat near your dog’s nose. Lure the treat slowly, moving it upward & slightly back over their head. As their nose goes up to follow the treat, their bottom will naturally go down, immediately give praise (“Good dog!”) and the treat.
Ellie is an adorable #MiniBernedoodle who started in-home training as a puppy. In our very first lesson, she learned to automatically sit in front of me whenever she came over to say hi, an impressive start to her training journey.
