Declassified footage of the rescue of a U.S. Air Force crewman shot down over Iran The Pentagon released video of the April 2026 operation that recovered the second man from an F-15E, call sign Bravo. The clip, shown on 60 Minutes, shows two Air Force Pararescue operators reaching the wounded flyer and getting him to a helicopter. Bravo called that meeting “one of the greatest moments” of his life and “evidence of God’s providence.’ His parachute was damaged, and he suffered multiple injuries. He hid for about 50 hours from Iranian authorities, who had a bounty on him. With a pistol, radio, and beacon, he climbed a ridge over 2,100 meters high. The same jet’s pilot was rescued earlier. CIA Director John Ratcliffe said the agency used sources, tracking tech, and false leads to aid the rescue. The operation involved A-10s, HC-130s, HH-60W helicopters, drones, and over 90 special-ops troops, including Delta and SEAL Team Six. Adm. Brad Cooper noted it was the first U.S. forces insertion into Iran in 46 years. The operation destroyed two MC-130Js, several helicopters, and an A-10 that was hit, but the pilot was rescued after ejecting over Kuwait.

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has reportedly admitted in closed-door conversations that Iran is in a desperate situation, saying U.S. economic pressure is working, the currency is collapsing, inflation is high, money is running out and the regime is increasingly struggling to control the population.
