La Semaine du Cerveau, c'est parti !
Dans la première partie de ce podcast pour le CNRS à Paris-Saclay, je parle interfaces cerveau-machine, et on revient un peu sur les bases!

See you on the other side!
1/4 In our latest BioRxiv, we show that mice can embody an artificial forelimb. Check it out here, and read on to learn more.

4/ During this behavior we tracked pupillary movements, and we found that the mice moved their eye towards the threat in a stronger and more prolonged manner following the embodiment step than in several control conditions that match canonical controls used in human experiment!
Many thanks to all members of team @TouchMoveLab and in particular to my former PhD student Zineb Hayatou, who has been the cornerstone of all embodiment work in the lab so far!

We grieve the passing of Dr. Yves Frégnac.
Yves has shaped the study of cortical processing and plasticity. He heralded interdisciplinarity and was one of the founding fathers of our institute.
Our thoughts go to his family and to his friends in the community and beyond. xitter.cf/NeuroPSI_saclay/status…
This conference is touching upon critical BMI feedback topics! Great to meet some key players of the field.

Traveling waves form patterns that carry information.
Horizontal cortical connections shape intrinsic traveling waves into feature-selective motifs that regulate perceptual sensitivity

❗️We are thrilled to welcome @HumboldtUni Prof. Matthew Larkum @mattlark in our seminar series.
❓What: "Anesthesia, apical dendrites, and thalamocortical loops".
❓When: Friday the 13th of September at 11 am.
❓Where: at NeuroPSI @NeuroPSI_saclay
▶️ Attend, you are welcome!
▶️We have developed a miniature mouse forelimb neuroprosthesis.
▶️This PhD project will be key to design the structure of the cortical feedback pattern that will be used to provide the subject with touch and proprioceptive information from the prosthesis.
▶️Apply!
🧠🖥️Are you a neuroscientist/engineer? Dreaming of brain-machine interface (BMI)?
▶️We have a PhD position open!
emploi.cnrs.fr/Offres/Doctor…
▶️Take advantage of our unique imaging and engineering methods to discover optimal BMI feedback strategies!
