Kornet thoughts.
Not going to give up on him just yet as further optimization of his role is due, but it’s possible regression is already hitting.
#Spurs coach Mitch Johnson on Luke Kornet’s early struggles this season: “
I think that part of that is the four guys (who) are out there with Luke need to be better. Sometimes, the Luke thing gets so exasperated because (the narrative) is Luke vs. Victor, at times.
“If it’s the same four guys that are out there with both, it's not just a Luke thing. That means they got to be better as well.” #PorVida
People spam the “He’s old” gimmick tryna diminish his accomplishments when age curve genuinely doesn’t matter towards how good a player is.
A younger player just has more time to get good, there’s no inherently higher floor or ceiling. Yaxel is already one of the best players of his age range.

Yaxel Lendeborg is averaging 21.8 points, 9.3 rebounds and 4.8 assists right now.
He’s also at 1.5 stocks, 59.1% TS, is fourth in the NBA in offensive rebounds per game, while logging a 0.43 3Pr and a 0.52 FTr.
The Warriors are also +10 with him on vs. off.
Boy bye
Kelly Olynyk says he left the NBA to give the younger generation a chance to shine.
“I played 13 years in the NBA; it was time to step aside and make room for the younger generation,”

No lineup data screenshots until we’re at least 20 games in, guys
Even that’s not enough but I know you can’t help yourselves
