if you are struggling with marketing, think about what would be most fun for you to get visibility and do that.
Crazy how marketing gives a lot of people “the ick” But when you execute on it right it’s the funnest job in the world and people actually appreciate your work.

the purpose of machines is for them to be machines. i do t really appreciate this over indexing on human nuance in these demos.
We believe voice is the most natural way to interact with intelligence, so we created Dessa, the most authentic full-duplex speech model ever built. Talking with it feels like talking with a person…full of emotion, nuance, pauses, and a natural cadence. block.xyz/dessa

breaking news people still don’t know what a harness is even in the bubble 📈🫡🤩🤠
the fact the creator of claude code uses slack for agent coordination is so incredibly bearish

maybe AGI is just a latency issue at this point

pour one out for the meat linters
in my first job i got a nit on one of my PRs that the comment in the code was too long for a single line and it made it hard to review, and that i should split it up into multiple lines im so happy that world of programming is gone

timeline today
After co-inventing ChatGPT, I kept asking myself: why have superhuman chat models not led to AGI? I’ve spent the last 2 years in stealth building a new way to train models (RLCD), and a new type of frontier AI model that we are releasing today: Jev • 20-200x faster • 40-400x cheaper (w/ output tokens free) • Frontier composable intelligence optimized for decisions AFAICT the shortest path to AI-based economic revolution

Introducing Vercel Labs Tools for devs in the AI era agent-browser, skills, json-render, deepsec, fx, just-bash, portless, vgpu and more We experiment in public: ship early, learn from feedback, and keep working on what people find useful We've been shipping under the Labs name for a while. Now, Labs is an official team at Vercel focused on exploring new capabilities and primitives that change what developers and agents can do. Here's what to expect: → Labs products: maintained, supported, built to be relied on → Active experiments: moves fast, expect rough edges and breaking changes → Past experiments: ideas that become new projects, make it into existing products, or teach us what to build next vercel.com/labs?experiment-i…

we need an AI enabled breakthrough or else support for AI won’t hit critical mass

this is not categorically true at all in my experience. they have saved me usage. you do need to approve the handoff when stakes are high ime
subagents are such a waste of tokens seems great in theory but they absolutely chew through usage most of the time you're better off with a single thread
