"Join me. Be my Knight. Together we can beat them." it is a joy to witness Ivy and Batman's dynamic being explore in such an interesting manner with their Absolute versions

Absolute Batman (2024-) #18 Absolute Ivy and Batman are fighting and Ivy says to Absolute Batman "Why are you fighting me Batman? We are on the same side." and Batman says "Pennyworth!", "He is not here anymore, I'm afraid. Rare forms of bacteria can disrupt radio signals. As can some bird calls... And even dolphin sounds... All of which I'm emitting as we speak. No "weaknesses." Just strengths. You can be so much more too. You're halfway there. You just need to embrace it.!"

Absolute Batman (2024-) #18 Absolute Ivy continues "I'll take it all away, Batman. That soft part, that pain. We're becoming one, you and me... I can feel how much you're hurting. Your mother, your friends." and Batman says "Get out of my head!" and Ivy insists "No... Join me. Be my Knight. Together we can beat them."

hope this doesn’t make people believe she’s completely different in mainline. ambition was her undoing in both universes, just in different ways. absolute ivy is more “if she never got abused by her teacher” instead of a total revamp. like batman, she retains her core

the reinvention of ivy’s origin for the absolute universe is perfect. much like batman she strives to be MORE. she goes beyond just plants. as she said herself, she continues to climb.
