Exactly. Well said
The treaties we signed and @UKParliament agreed have always been clear - we didn't give the ICJ jurisdiction over the Chagos Islands.
We should be defending the Chagossian people and the laws we signed, not bowing to expansionist courts reaching beyond their remit.

Come on. The price of gherkins is coming down. Let’s give them lots of credit.
Analysis by economists at the Adam Smith Institute found that the average household will pay £206.50 extra on gas and electricity, £36 extra on water, £112.19 more on food and
£140.64 more on fuel in 2027.
So while millions of cash strapped households have to somehow find an extra £500 to pay for all this, Andy Burnham tells us to look on Google maps to find the cheapest price on fuel. He’s tinkering while Britain goes broke.
Sadly, each new, young generation has to relearn that Socialism leads to debt, impoverishing the country and restricting the freedom of the people.

I’m a cabdriver in London and 3 times this morning passengers have asked me to take them to Selfridges and John Lewis. I say I can’t get them there, they say is it a demo, I say no it’s closed permanently. They decide to go Harrods instead. Business killer.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Taxis cannot drive along the new pedestrianised section of Oxford Street but dedicated ranks on side streets (e.g. Orchard St/Duke St by Selfridges, Holles St by John Lewis) allow drop-offs within ~100m of the stores.

Yet again, this is about ‘vibes’. Feel good. Not about substance.
I’ve gone thru this so many times but: no majority so Lib Dem’s Coalition 2010 to 2015, EU Referendum 2016, no majority 2016 to 2019, Covid 2020 to 2021, war in Ukraine and cost of living crisis 2022/24. The actual time to ‘do stuff’ was very limited
Well deserved. We are all very proud of you.
Where do I begin? That was an evening I'll never forget.
It’s an incredible honour to receive the Ballon d’Or award after a year full of goals, trophies and special milestones. Thank you to all the staff and my teammates at @england and @fcbayern, as well as family, friends and everyone who’s supported me – this wouldn’t be possible without you all.
Thank you to everyone who has sent a kind message, social media post - I appreciate every single one of them.
This will live long in the memory. 🙌🏆❤️
The Conservative–Liberal Democrat coalition government in the United Kingdom lasted from May 11, 2010, to May 8, 2015.
Really good question.
This is extraordinary. Where is the mandate? The PM was elected by 25,000 voters in Makerfield 100 days ago today - and now this in the @Telegraph. 👇

I remember when the #DublinConvention was signed. It was loaded against asylum returns to France from the start - and remained so until we left. @Nigel_Farage is right. Suggestions from @andyburnham that the boats started because of #Brexit are for the birds.

Harry Kane’s emotional message to his wife Katie after winning the Ballon d’Or ❤️⚽
“To my lovely wife Katie, my best friend. You wanted me to win this award more than I did. We have been through so many ups and downs.
We did it. You always wanted what was best for me and you sacrificed your dreams for mine.
This would never have been possible without you.
I love you so much.”
What a moment. Proper class from the England captain and 2026 Ballon d’Or winner. 👏🏴
Lovely stuff ❤️❤️
