Most every morning, I wake up to news that Russia has bombed a hospital or school; that Ukraine has bombed an oil refinery; and that the United States has put more pressure on Ukraine. There is no moral equivalence in this war. It is straight right-and-wrong, good-and-evil. The defeat of Putin is a world imperative.

Rogers is here espousing the doctrine of popular sovereigntyโthe same doctrine espoused by northern Democrats before the Civil War, who argued that the slavery question should be decided by the will of the voters.
Rogers is saying that whether the unborn have any rights should depend on a majority vote. Just like Stephen Douglas argued about black people.
Itโs morally revolting.
I have been clear about this issue time and time again and I will not allow Abdul to lie about my position.
This decision is one of the hardest decisions a woman will make in her entire life and it should be handled with her family and her doctor. Period.
The Michigan voters went to the ballot box and made a womanโs right to choose part our State Constitution and as Michiganโs next Senator I will never go to Washington and overturn the will of the Michigan people.

One solution might be to nominate candidates who donโt repel people and can build a wide coalition. Then you can invite folks to vote for them instead of browbeating and shaming them to vote for them.

Ortiz served in the Border Patrol for 33 years under Republican and Democratic presidents, including as chief during the Biden administration.

I understand the concern behind the statement, โChristians must vote for the lesser of two evils.โ It reflects a desire to take our responsibility as citizens seriously. I share that concern.
However, good intentions do not automatically make an argument biblical or logical.
Russia is a terrorist state.
An utterly horrific Russian attack on the settlement of Komyshuvakha in the Zaporizhzhia region. Since this morning, the settlement has been hit several times by aerial bombs. The strikes targeted a school used for humanitarian purposes โ people were receiving humanitarian aid there. After the first aerial bomb strike, there was a double-tap strike with nine more bombs, specifically targeting the shelter where people were taking cover. Tragically, 18 people have already been reported killed. My condolences to their families and loved ones. Five people have been injured. A rescue operation is underway at the site, and the search for people continues. It is extremely difficult. Military forces, first responders, and special services are involved.
The Russians could not have been unaware that every week, local residents who had remained in Komyshuvakha received humanitarian aid at that very location. And this is further proof that Russia wants no de-escalation and no real justice. After the humanitarian operation in Oleshky, there was a moment when the next steps could have shown that progress toward peace was possible. With these killings, Russia is sending an entirely opposite signal: Russia is counting on more killings. There must be a response to this โ a response from the world. A strong and tough response. A response to Russia. And support for Ukraine. We must protect lives. Thank you to everyone who is helping!
