Huge thanks to Nikoletta for this very moving review. It means so much to know that the stuff I work on for long hours connects with other people in a meaningful way.
Today I review something I’ve wanted to write about for awhile:
“A Lonely Gust Toward the Heavens” by @MBMachines.
While this isn’t there new album I feel compelled to signal boost this one. This is #cinematic and sad #neoclassical music done right.

Back after a long hiatus. It's been nice to see this album of mine continue to get some attention here and there. I suppose the melancholy is ever-more appropriate these days. Here are some @FreeAlbumCodes if you'd like to listen.
Gotta promote this video I directed one more time, because I thought it turned out quite nicely. It's quite the boppin' tune as well.

The full video I directed and edited for Elison is out now. Check ‘er out if you have time. It was a ton of fun making this.

Just wrapped up directing a music video for my friend Scott's band, Elison. They had a bad case of Band Face so I tried to fix it.

I won Best Director tonight at the Great Canadian Comedy Film Festival. Feels nice. The award was for this short, which some of you might enjoy:

I wrote the music as well, which you can find here:

Jim used to routinely use the phrase “evil, evil music” as a way of jokingly describing his art, so this feels pretty on point.
Evil, evil folk. From a foreigner's eyes this feels like a peek into Deep America's mythology. Stories about murder, been raised by the Devil and drunk ravings. Sorry about Jim's departure but at least the pain is over. @MBMachines

I should also mention that Jim wrote a few more optimistic songs that were very beautiful. “The Spirit of Pregnancy and You in the Nude” was the one from the album @sykonauta linked above, but this one is my favorite of his: thetwelvecanons.bandcamp.com…
