Today (June 20th) is #WorldRefugeeDay2026, an international day established by the @UN to strengthen understanding of the challenges refugees face and to support their efforts in rebuilding their lives. Dr. J. Greg Sinclair is a proud graduate of @McMasterDiv (McMaster Divinity College) and published his monograph, Welcoming the Other (McMaster Studies in Practical Theology 2), in 2025. In this book, Dr. Sinclair superbly demonstrates how a 63-year-old Dutch congregation in Toronto, Canada, practices a hospitality of inclusion and empathy toward diaspora communities of Iranian descent. His book investigates the changing nature of a Canadian congregation alongside the challenges and opportunities of welcoming increasing cultural and linguistic diversity. Ultimately, this book is for church members seeking new modes of hospitality, presenting a hopeful vision of a multicultural, revitalized, and faithful church in Canada. Annihilationism (often called conditional immortality) has received increasing attention. While #annihilationism sounds appealing to a human perspective, @drdaveyoon superbly demonstrates that it has little linguistic, biblical, or exegetical support. Yoon, David I.
