🔴⚪️ NEW SIGNING | JAMIE KING 🔴⚪️ Market Drayton Town FC are thrilled to announce the signing of Jamie King from Wednesfield! Jamie has been a target for the club for a number of years, and the hard work behind the scenes from our management team, Lloydy, Proudy and the Vice-Chairman have finally secured his signature. 🤝 Drayton supporters should need no introduction to Jamie! He scored a hat-trick against us during his time at Shawbury, and most recently found the net against us last weekend in our 3-3 draw with Wednesfield. 👀⚽ Welcome to The Gingerbread Men, Jamie!🔴⚪️ Jamie had this to say on signing for Drayton 🗣️ “I’m delighted to have signed for Market Drayton Town. I’ve known Lloydy since we were kids, so when I heard his plans and the direction he wants to take the club in, it was an opportunity I was really excited about. I’m confident there are some great things ahead for the club. I’ve also played under Proudy before, so I know the standards he sets and what he expects from his players. I’m looking forward to getting started, meeting up with the lads and giving everything I’ve got to help the team push forward. I can’t wait to get out there in the Drayton colours and play in front of the supporters and hopefully give everyone plenty to get excited about. See you all soon!” 🔴⚪️ Lloydy’s comments on the signing of Jamie 🗣️ “I’m really pleased to welcome Jamie to Market Drayton Town. Jamie is someone I’ve known personally for a very long time, and he’s also a player Proudy knows extremely well, having previously played under him during his time managing Newport. Jamie comes to us with a fantastic CV and a wealth of experience at this level. He’s a proven attacking player who brings real quality, versatility and a genuine goal threat to our squad. One of Jamie’s biggest strengths is his ability to operate anywhere across the forward line. He’s intelligent with his movement, has a fantastic eye for goal and is someone who can create opportunities as well as finish them. I fully expect him to be a constant threat to opposition defences. We’ve spoken a lot about adding more quality and firepower to our attacking options, and Jamie certainly gives us that. I believe he’ll be a really important addition to the group as we continue building towards where we want this football club to be. I’m delighted to have him on board and really looking forward to seeing him in a Market Drayton shirt.”

A signing on a Friday evening We couldn’t do that could we???? A target of the club for the last few years 👀 7pm 👀🔴⚪️

NEW SIGNING 🔴⚪️ The gaffer has been a busy man this week and adds another player to the squad. Market Drayton Town are delighted to announce the signing of Brodie McLeod from Dawley Town. Brodie is a physical midfielder that will add strength to the squad. Welcome to Market Drayton Town Brodie 🔴⚪️ Brodie on signing for the Gingerbread men 🗣️ Really excited to get going at Drayton, I feel like I can offer something different to the team which is something we are lacking and I will do my all to help us push on and achieve the goals set by the gaffer for the end of the season Gaffers Comments 🗣️ “I’m really pleased to welcome Brodie to Market Drayton. Brodie is a player who brings something different to our midfield. He’s extremely versatile, comfortable playing anywhere across the middle of the park, but what really stands out to me is his aggression, tenacity and willingness to get stuck in. He’s the type of player who doesn’t shy away from a challenge, enjoys the physical side of the game and is prepared to do the dirty work for the team. That’s something I believe we need more of, particularly at this level. He joins us from Dawley with a real opportunity to make his mark, and I’m looking forward to seeing him bring that energy, bite and competitiveness into our midfield. Another really positive addition to the squad as we continue strengthening the group and pushing this football club forward.”

🔴⚪ NEW SIGNING 🔴⚪️ Market Drayton Town FC are delighted to welcome Justin Iwobi to the club. A powerful 6ft 5in centre-forward with experience in the professional and non-league game, Justin has come through Stoke City’s academy and featured for FC Halifax Town, Bradford Park Avenue, Farsley Celtic, Mickleover and Avro. Strong, athletic and with the potential to cause opposition defences serious problems, Justin arrives at Drayton ready to make his mark! We believe he can bring something special to our forward line and we can’t wait to see him in the red and white! 🔴⚪ Lloydy had this to say 🗣️ “I’m absolutely delighted to welcome Justin to Market Drayton Town. This is a massive signing for the football club and one that I believe really demonstrates our ambition and the direction we want to take this team. Justin is a player with enormous potential, but equally important is the fact that he’s already experienced football at a very good level. Standing at around 6ft 4/6ft 5, he has all the attributes you could possibly want in a centre-forward. He’s powerful, quick, technically gifted and extremely comfortable with the ball at his feet. He’s a player who can cause defenders all sorts of problems, and I have absolutely no doubt that he has the ability to score a lot of goals at this level. He joins us having recently recovered from an injury, but what has really impressed me is his determination and the work he’s been putting in behind the scenes to come back stronger, fitter and better than before. That hunger and mentality are exactly what I want from players representing this football club. I genuinely believe we’ve secured a player that many clubs at our level, and even clubs competing higher up the football pyramid, would love to have in their squad. Players with Justin’s combination of physical presence, pace, technical ability and goalscoring potential are incredibly difficult to find. For me, this isn’t just about bringing in another striker. It’s about bringing in a player who has the potential to make a real difference to our season and become a huge part of what we’re trying to build here. We’re under no illusions that Justin will need a little time to get back to his very best following his injury, and we’ll make sure we manage that properly. But once he’s fully up to speed, I genuinely believe we’ve got a very special player on our hands. I’m absolutely buzzing to get working with him, and I think our supporters have every reason to be excited about seeing him in a Market Drayton shirt.” Player comments 🗣️ I’m a 6ft 5 centre forward I’d describe myself as powerful quick and a good eye for goal. I’m so glad to be here… I’ve spoken with the First team manager lloydy for a while now and he’s building something I want to be apart of and he’s a manager who has a clear understanding of how we are going to achieve that. I want to help push the club to the highest possible position this season and I know through scoring plenty of goals I can be a big asset to the club, really happy to be here and can’t wait to get going!
