What’s the soonest a remake or re-imagining of a game has happened? I wanna say RE, but Siren Blood Curse is what comes to mind and probably is the one example that fits that closely.

I never got into siren, but Bloodcurse is interesting since it uses both japanese and english speaking characters and sometimes characters of both sides will speak the opposite, whereas the original was mainly japanese. It’s something you never see much in games, but is very cool

Blood curse is kinda divisive though, I’ve just seen just as many as those who like it as those who don’t. I do wanna get into it and the rest of the series, as it seems interesting, being a stealth horror game from the creator of SH.

And you know what, the tezuka star system rocks. It’s a cool way to use characters in different roles, any time rock shows up in anything tezuka rules. Swery kinda uses it too, hence why forest kaysen is in spy fiction, deadly premonition and d4.
