Every year I like to share a year end target for the S&P 500 $SPY for the upcoming year. Being that it's nearly impossible to get right, I like to have some fun with it.
My 2025 PT was 5,700. Swing and a miss as they say.
For 2026, I have a PT of 6,360. That's about a -8% from here.
My top 3 sector picks for 2026;
1. Materials
2. Equal-Weight Consumer Staples (or Staples ex $WMT and $COST)
3. Energy
The 3 sectors I'm avoiding in 2026:
1. Financials
2. Consumer Discretionary
3. Industrials.
Midterm election years are typically difficult years for the market. Time will tell if this is another one.

Anyone who shops at Giant Eagle knows that their prices couldn't be higher, lmao.
Well deserved. Going to be a fun night.
To the rafters.
The #NHLBruins are proud to announce that during the upcoming 2026-27 season, the club will bestow its highest honor upon Patrice Bergeron by retiring his No. 37.
My thoughts on Warsh's first presser:
- I like challenging the 2% mandate.,
- I like the balance sheet task force.,
- "Inflation is a choice" goes to show the Kevin Warsh Fed will be consumed more with price stability than full employment. Not a bad thing.
- I like the idea of changing data gathering methods, less surveys, etc.,
- Don't love the idea of changing Fed communication, will depend on what they do.
But the short seller was the one breaking the law 😂
Jensen Huang called Marvell “the next trillion-dollar company” during $MRVL CEO Matt Murphy’s Computex keynote in Taiwan.
Please.
#BREAKING: Trump moves to ‘save the sun,’ backs permanent daylight time push under the Sunshine Protection Act.
Phantom rate hike: keeping rates steady, while ramping up a significant run off of the Fed's balance sheet, might be how Warsh tries to sneak one past Trump.
A rate HIKE in July? One of the biggest bulls on Wall Street making that call today... @HalftimeReport @CNBCClosingBell
Correct
A $250B valuation is incredibly cheap for the sheer volume of cash flow and user data $UBER Uber provides.
Excited to read @awealthofcs's new book. Immediately jumping to the top of my book pile!
Adding to $UBER today, buying at the highest share price I've ever bought at.
I still believe this stock's performance is dampened by irrational, and frankly, stupid concerns over AVs.
$UBER aggregates demand. Their hybrid platform allows them to meet periods of high demand with ease, and scale back during periods of low demand. An AV network with a fixed amount of AVs will never be able to meet the periods of high demand, leading to higher prices, and during periods of low demand will sit idle, creating a cost drag for the owner of the network.
$UBER is and will continue to be my largest holding.

Bet she doesn't have anything to say about this now!
I've warned for months that a @JetBlue-@SpiritAirlines merger would have led to fewer flights and higher fares.
@JusticeATR and @USDOT were right to stand up for consumers and fight against runaway airline consolidation.
This is a Biden win for flyers! apnews.com/article/jetblue-s…

Been a very long time since I did a portfolio update. Not much has actually changed.
As of my last portfolio update in August, the changes I have made are:
Sells:
$LULU
$ASML
$PEP
$KVUE (Kind of)
$PSX
$CMCSA
$FIG
Buys:
$ABT
$PPG
$TSCO
$KMB (Kind of)
Most of the sells came before the end of 2025. A mix of big gains and one notable large loss, $FIG.
I say "Kind of" for $KVUE and $KMB because when the deal was announced, I took advantage of a brief period where the value of the deal was overpriced in $KVUE, sold and bought $KMB. I was very happy to finally get long $KMB, especially under $100, and this is a long term holding.
$ABT and $PPG have been steady buys as of late. $TSCO I just started this week.
My strategy doesn't change. I buy great companies at good prices, targeting a 2%+ dividend yield and 0.8 beta for my overall portfolio. I currently clock in at 2.5% dividend yield and 0.8 beta. I am very happy with where I am.
