Per FT (@rwmcmorrow), DCG has sold interests in GETH - the Grayscale trust backed by ETHE
Why? DCG is raising cash to pay Genesis loans of ~$575 MM due in May

FWIW, Genesis is owned by the Digital Currency Group, who also owns Grayscale. Not great news for $GBTC - let's hope they have better firewalls in place than Alameda and FTX.
This is awful news. Really feel for FTX customers. This is going to get a whole lot worse before it gets any better.

👋 Hi Twitter! It's here - Morningstar's cryptocurrency landscape published this morning. The key takeaways from the report can be found here: morningstar.com/articles/108…
Cryptocurrencies are now the fourth-most popular investment for individuals, behind only stocks, mutual funds, and bonds. Even after January's crash, the market still has $1.7 trillion in market capitalization.
Investors pay a lot more to transact in crypto than they do for stocks or ETFs. Most firms that offer crypto trades, whether crypto-native like @coinbase or retail-oriented like @RobinhoodApp, charge north of 0.5% to buy 0.15 $ETH.
