This type of fearmongering about Israel is wrong. It is not a winning strategy for any state. It does nothing to help Michigan Democrats win up and down the ballot in eight days. Do we need to lower costs by building more homes, securing people’s health care, and creating a fairer federal tax code? Yes, we do!! How we do so is not by blaming the high costs of our goods on the only Jewish homeland in the world. I want to see Democrats succeed at every level, and that means keeping our focus on lowering costs for Michigan families and reining in this out-of-control President.
New @RebellionPac ad dropping in Michigan. We have to suffer here at home, so Israel can get all its wars. That’s why they buy politicians like Mike Rogers. He promised to serve Israel “unconditionally,” but never made that promise to you.

Very true, but it's also the "Israel stole your grocery money" ridiculousness. (Aid to Israel doesn't even make a dent.) In the 1970s in the USSR, there was a semi-underground satirical song spoofing antisemitism, "Jews, Jews, Jews All Around" which included the line, "Got no water in the faucet? That means the Yids drank it all up." Pretty much the same mentality.
This ad is vile. One thing that's so despicable about far-left hatred of Israel is how quickly they just glide past the fact that Israel was subject to horrific terrorist violence. One does not have to agree with all Israeli policies (I certainly don't) to know that this is a grotesque caricature.

Please find the below statement on behalf of Roddenberry Entertainment regarding Walter Koenig's passing: Our hearts go out to the Koeing family and to all those mourning the loss of the great Walter Koenig. The stars will glimmer a little less brightly tonight knowing that our friend and colleague has left us.  However, while we mourn his loss today, we will forever remember Walter in the days, months and years to come — the person he was, the talent he shared, and the contribution he made, not only to Star Trek, but to the world. What a privilege it was to know him. - Roddenberry Entertainment

I mean Cenk is dumb and a bigot. Everyone knows this. But this ad is dumb and bigoted at scale. It’s innumerate and morally obtuse and if anything remotely like it was aimed at Muslims he and his ilk would (defensibly) be outraged. But this shit is fine when aimed at the you know who.

New low for normalized Jew-hate in the American Democratic Party. Very sad: Painting your political opponents as puppets of Jews, as this El-Sayed ad does, and as crazed baby-killers and money-grubbing villains who are the root cause of every bad thing not just in the world, but in your life—from wars to the price of eggs to the reason you can’t have free healthcare—is not just low-grade Jew-hate. It’s pure Third Reich stuff, translated directly from the original German. Do you remember when Jewish Democrats in Michigan explained that they would vote for El-Sayed despite his open disdain for Jews, since there are many other important issues they need him to fight for? That anything was worth it to “defeat MAGA”? Well, here’s El-Sayed’s answer to them: Don’t worry, all those issues we agree on, like healthcare, inflation, and climate change, I’m going to make them about Jews too! I will tell the public that the Jews are the reason they can’t have those things.

American families each pay $500 a year for ICE atrocities, $1,700 on Trump tariffs, $1175 more on health insurance, and $2290 on goods from China as it destroys the Uyghur people, but sure, air an ad about $161 to Israel instead. Yes, it’s antisemitic. El-Sayed should demand it be taken down.
Unless Abdul El-Sayed immediately demands that this campaign ad be taken down and unequivocally condemns it and its creators, he will be exposed as a vile, dangerous, and divisive antisemite. Any (of my fellow) Democrats who condemn the disgusting Ramaswamy ad in Ohio but do not condemn this deserve our unflinching contempt.

These people about to destroy humanity are a living example of Plato’s Parable of the Cave. All they know, all they’ve ever been taught, leads them to believe that destroying humanity is the only thing to do. All of them - Gates, Altman, Amodei. They are insane; they think the perceptual cave they live in is the world. They must be stopped.

I am the Deputy Director for Continuity of Enrichment at the Atomic Energy Organization of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and I would like to thank the United States Air Force and the Israeli Air Force for performing our annual asset verification. Last June they dropped bunker-busters on Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan and announced that the Islamic Republic’s key enrichment facilities had been completely and totally obliterated. I opened the shared drive the next morning. The folder still existed. Someone had renamed it “Temporary Entrance Maintenance—Peaceful Purposes.” The material we had moved the week before was listed under “Off-Site Professional Development.” I approved the rename. It auto-saved. The Supreme Leader’s fatwa against nuclear weapons was already in the folder. It has been in the folder since 2003. It has never been closed. The fatwa is excellent documentation. It is oral. It is cited. It is never quite published as a classic ruling that would require us to stop. We present it to the IAEA. We present it to visiting ambassadors. We present it to the people who ask why the centrifuges keep turning. The fatwa covers use. The continuity plan covers everything else. Both documents are correct. One of them is temporary. The temporary one is still running. The Atomic Energy Organization handles the public face: electricity, radiopharmaceuticals, sovereignty, service to humanity. The Organization of Defensive Innovation and Research handles the other face. The IRGC built the tunnels at Fordow because the IRGC builds tunnels. We do not discuss which face is which in the same meeting. We do not need to. The shared drive does not care which letterhead is on the folder. In February they came back. The first wave hit the compound while the Supreme Leader was still above ground. We marked him “Out of Office—Permanent” and kept the continuity call going. The IRGC commander, the Defense Minister, and several others were marked the same way. The call continued. The new strikes were logged as incomplete because the knowledge had already been restructured around the material that survived the previous incomplete strikes. The restructuring was finished before the second round started. The second round is still listed as “In Progress.” It has been in progress for eight months. The Islamic Republic remains in the header. Now the Space Force watches everything. They can read a name badge from orbit. We issued guidance that no one is to wear a name badge. The guidance is followed. Last week a technician arrived in a jacket that still had the old badge sewn into the lining. The satellite noted the stitching. We have opened a ticket. The ticket is currently assigned to Facilities. Facilities was struck in June. Facilities has not responded. The jacket is still in the system. The latest American statement says there isn’t much activity at the remaining sites. Our latest report says the same thing. The two reports match. Matching reports are what we track. Activity is defined as anything that produces a useful image on the next pass. We have reduced useful images. We have not reduced the ability to produce them later. The fatwa is still in the folder. The material is still in the folder. The people who remember how the machines go together are still employed by the Islamic Republic. I am sometimes asked if the program continues. The program continues in the form it has always continued under the Islamic Republic: residual material that was not destroyed, machines that can still be assembled, and a shared drive that survived two rounds of bunker-busters because no one thought to bomb the shared drive. None of these items require a new hall. All of them require that no one stand still long enough for the next satellite to finish spelling the name on the jacket. My pension vests in 2029. The spring assessment is already drafted. It will state that the program has been degraded. It will also state that the degradation is measurable, temporary, and already accounted for in the continuity plan of the Islamic Republic. Both sentences will be true. Both sentences will be filed. The file will be renamed something anodyne. The Americans will announce another obliteration. I will open the drive the next morning. The folder will still be there. The fatwa will still be in it. Someone has to keep the folder.
.@POTUS on Iran's nuclear dust: "Space Force can see everything. If you had a badge on your jacket and your first name was Mohammed, I could read that name beautifully right on your jacket... We have every site under watch."

Friends, My account here, just like other Ukrainian accounts recently, is suffering from severe shadowbanning/pessimization. There has been a sharp drop in reach, as the platform's algorithms quietly remove it from search and recommendations. My Threads account, which has 25,000 followers, currently gets more reach than my account here on X. I will remain here and I deeply value our community. But just in case, I want to remind you that I have other platforms: Threads, Bluesky, and Telegram. 📷: you can press the bell icon to get notified of my new posts.

Apparently someone decided there was more rock bottom to hit after the ad with Amy Acton's mom. Not affiliated with El Sayed's campaign but he's certainly not going to disavow it. I'm not in the "anti-Israel rhetoric is antisemitic" camp but this is pretty bad

A cheerleading piece like this on the front page of @nytimes is the height of irresponsibility. Not one of the glaring moral and existential dangers of AI was even mentioned (in spite of a disclaimer reminding the reader that the Times is suing these companies for copyright infringement!). If the author is going to ignore the universal surveillance state enabled by AI, or the inherent inequality created by these first steps toward transhumanism, or the daily barrage of news reports about rogue AI agents, then one should infer the paper thinks these dangers unimportant. Should we next expect a cheery piece on the use of Polonium to heat our houses? nytimes.com/2026/10/25/techn…
