Went from a horrible environment at home to a marriage that cost her the ability to be herself and have any kinda freedom in her 20s and then at the start of her 30s her ex husband and the pressure of trying to compete with his smear campaigns while filming a movie and recording its soundtrack which lead single was SABOTAGED BY HIM cause her to finally crack. It’s incredibly sad. My girl remained resilient through it all.

People don’t talk about Mariah’s trauma enough. Neglectful mother. Opportunist brother. Drug addict sister who almost pimped her out as a minor. Absent father. And as a young girl, she was practically forced to marry a man twice her age to whom she felt no attraction towards. I definitely feel for her. 😢
