I always wanted to see this day come true. A dream that was on paper four years ago with just 12 pages proposal presented to the top management of @SIMADUniversity has now turned out to be one of the finest and most well-equipped innovation hubs in Somalia.

A privilege to join H.E. @FaaraxSheekh and spend a week in Istanbul and Ankara and meet the people shaping and running Turkey’s higher education sector. It was a great experience to see firsthand Turkey’s robust and skill-centered education ecosystem.

Honored to be received by H.E. President @HassanSMohamud after formally handing over my responsibilities as the Director of Communications at the @TheVillaSomalia Presidency.
I thanked the President for entrusting me with the responsibility to serve my people at the highest level. I also listened to his wise counsel on continuing to work and strive for the betterment of our country.
I extend my gratitude to my colleagues for the good and challenging times we shared. Rest assured, those are the memories I will always cherish as I move on to the next chapter.

I’ll host a town hall meeting this Saturday in Mogadishu for the youth. We wanna take on a challenge to make Somalia a digital hub for global business processes outsourcing (BPO). A multi-stakeholder approach to create job opportunities for the talented youth. See you there!

A multi-billion dollar industry is unfolding before our eyes in Somalia. A true first-mover advantage in a frontier market, wide open for those bold enough to act. In a few years, executives will look back at this moment (and maybe tweet) and wonder why they didn’t move sooner.
