New pinned post because my last one was clearly outdated. I’m still more active on Bluesky but I semi-returned to Twitter because I’m passionate about anime and physical media and want to speak more about its erasure and cultural erosion in more places. Update over lol
This is important to consider. The talent pool for VO has increased so much over the years. I didn’t expect my words to reach that far but apologies to those who may have been unintentionally hurt. Nothing but love for dubs.
To my English dub loving friends, who are some semi/retired or otherwise inactive Funimation voice actors you miss? There are a lot you just don’t hear anymore. It’s been years since we heard from Witney Rodgers, Brandon Potter, Gwendolyn Lau and Joel McDonald (in a non reprisal)
I was just doing some perusing on BTVA and was surprised to see Kate Oxley in the Vending Machine isekai. But outside Todoroki’s sister and Akane Tsunamori she seems to have fallen off the face of the earth.
Two more anime releases added to the collection. Haeukana Receive as a fun looking ecchi series before that Funimation Essential is gone, and finally added the Shirobako movie to go with my TV series Blu-ray.
Fresh from the UK in today. GKids released this series in the US for a much cheaper price but only on Blu-ray. AllTheAnime has a nice 4K collectors set here and I had to splurge for the GOAT Miyazaki’s solo directorial debut.

MALAS NOTICIAS
Now that BLEACH Thousand Year Blood War is over, if you’re craving something similar, yet totally original, PLEASE check out Akudama Drive. Many of the TYBW staff worked on it, and it has the same director/script adapter (Tomohisa Taguchi).
