#nufc fans turning on Bruce after a pre season friendly singing “you’re just a shit Steve McClaren” and people think that’s funny? Get me off the ride. Embarrassing. Two seasons in charge, exact same points as his predecessor… hasn’t been given any new signings this summer.

The big questions are who scouted him and thought he'd suit us, who pushed his name forward to the hierarchy and who signed him off?
Multiple people on multiple levels at fault here.

I see Woltemade still has his online fanbase so riddle me this. If a club record signing, a striker who scored two goals in almost six months, is sent out on loan after one season - because not one, but two managers - decided he wasn’t suited to play for them, what does that make the decision to sign him? #nufc

Why would a billionaire with any level of ambition even consider buying a non 'Sky 6' club nowadays? It would be utterly pointless

Eddie,
Thank you for five years of amazing memories, ambition and commitment. Our whole fanbase is so proud to have had you as our manager.
So many unforgettable moments, especially that day in March 2025, when you were the man to do what so many before were unable to. So many greats have tried but you were the one. You gave us the greatest day of our lives and that is something that we will always remember you for.
Of course there are so many more, reaching the 2023 League Cup Final, Champions League nights under the lights at SJP and all of the unbelievable trips around Europe. It has been an amazing journey and we can’t thank you enough for everything.
Hope to see you again soon, once a Geordie always a Geordie!

I get why people are reacting the way they are, but you will never get me to hate on Bruno Guimaraes. He's the best midfielder we've ever had, a top three player of my lifetime, and he led us to the greatest day. It's clear he loves the club, even if he is leaving. Legend. #nufc

Buying clubs Chelsea, United, City, Arsenal and Spurs (SKY 6)
The prem is a fix. The above all in a group who agreed to join a super league. One awaiting 100s of charges another a small fine for paying off agents.

One thing we can all do as a fanbase is show Matthias Jaissle something that was in short supply towards the end of Eddie Howe’s reign: patience.
He’s walking into a far from ideal situation. Senior players leaving, more uncertainty to come, a squad full of very young signings and very little time to mould it all together.
None of that is his doing.
He deserves the time, patience and backing to build something. We can’t demand a new direction and then expect everything to click overnight.
Whatever frustrations we have with the club, let’s not direct them at a manager who’s inherited the mess. If he commits to Newcastle, let’s give him every chance to succeed.

I want to personally recognise Eddie Howe’s outstanding contribution to Newcastle United. He joined the club at a challenging moment and, through his leadership, commitment and belief, helped lay the foundations for everything we have achieved over the past five years. I am proud to have worked alongside him and privileged to call him a friend. I would also like to thank Jason and the wider coaching staff for their dedication and contribution to the club’s journey.
