The weather tower aglow in yesterday's sunrise, with a few remnants of rime ice hanging on before being gobbled up by today's warm, wet fog. Behind the tower off to the west you can see the shadow of Mount Washington, cast by the rising sun. #nh #mountwashington #sunrise #mwobs
The summit burst out of the fog this morning and was treated to pretty spectacular snoliage! Temperatures will rise well above freezing tomorrow, however, melting much of the rime ice we've been able to accumulate over the past several days. #nh #mountwashington #snoliage
Fall interns Emily and Alonso got to enjoy a gusty sunset yesterday evening before the summits re-entered the fog and rime overnight. Stay tuned for clearer skies later this weekend! #nh #mountwashington #whitemountains
Though Nimbus doesn't venture outside as often to join us on our weather observations now that the summit's frosty again, he still enjoys lounging in the sunshine by the beanbag chairs on a chilly autumn day! #nh #mountwashington #nimbuskitty #summitcat
