This is not “breaking news” smh. It’s just trying to drive clicks about Pierre Poilievre.
Aaron has served loyally for almost three years through a general election. A job like that is 24/7, 365.
Thanks for your service to the @CPC_HQ cause, Aaron, and good luck in what comes next. #cdnpoli

Today’s federal budget must have one clear priority: Save You Money.
Conservatives are calling for:
⛽ Removing all federal taxes on gas & diesel
✂️ Cutting wasteful inflationary spending
🍎 Scrapping all federal taxes on food

I am disgusted by the brutal attack on a Canadian Armed Forces member supervising young cadets selling poppies in Hamilton.
He stepped in after the cadets were assaulted. He was left with injuries police describe as life-altering.
He was helping young Canadians honour those who served. He should have gone home safely to his family.
No child should fear violence while selling a poppy. No Canadian should be brutalized for standing up for them. Those responsible for this cowardly attack must face the full consequences of the law.
My prayers are with this member, his family, and the young cadets affected by this horrific violence.
As Remembrance Day approaches, wear your poppy proudly. Support our veterans. And stand with the Canadians who serve and protect us.

I can’t recommend it. Things are worse than I remember from even a year ago.

Harrison on Poilievre's leadership "Poilievre remains the absolute best prosecutor of domestic issues in that caucus and arguably for Conservatives in Canada, so difficult to challenge somebody that has, you know, 90% plus of the membership support just earlier this year and somebody who holds the keys to, I think, the future of a lot of Conservative vote. And voices in Canada." @KatlynHarrison

Wife of a long term dementia patient here - 👋
If Bruce had signed an advanced directive, would I have been left to make the decision on when to apply MAiD?
Even after 11 years, yesterday I saw him smile, laugh, interact and enjoy his meals while being non-mobile, incontinent and non verbal.
I can promise you, I would ignore any advanced directive. Yes, he is a different man with a different life now but subjectively and objectively he is comfortable and content. I would not believe this Bruce would want to stop living.
In this case, would the “state” step in to provide MAiD over my objections and experience? We are rushing to a set of really complex entanglements. So much room for harm.
As a cancer MD, here’s what terrifies me about advance MAiD requests.
A patient with dementia could be smiling, laughing and enjoying life.
But a document signed years earlier says it’s time to die.
Administer MAiD and risk criminal charges? Refuse and potentially face a College complaint from the family?
What an extraordinary position to put a physician in.

Why?
Because the citizen science that is completed by the guides who take people sturgeon fishing on the Fraser River gives us a clearer picture of the health of the Sturgeon population. Every fish that is caught by a participant, is tagged, measured, and released ethically back into the river. And when these fish are caught again, they are measured again and the science continues for each individual fish, and so on and so on, and we see where they migrate too and we see how fast they grow. We also have an idea based on mark-recapture, of what the overall population is.
Another reason why is because this is one of the most economically important recreational sport fisheries in freshwater British Columbia, creating numerous jobs and economic revenue directly to guides and charter operators, with trickle down effects to hotels, lodges, tackle shops, marinas, restaurants, airlines etc.
I can assure you that no one cares more about the health and well-being of the population of White Sturgeon, than the people whose livelihoods depend on them.
If you actually want to protect surgeon in the Fraser River, pick up the phone and call me and I’ll be happy to share some information I have from personal experience on the river and tell you a few good places to start.
Congratulations on the win in BC, Howard. Happy to help you make good choices so you can stay government for a long time.
