'Bratty'...'childish'...'sulking'... I won't point out the irony of it, but... it's there.

It's awfully quiet. Perhaps Mr. Personality decided to take a nap.

Still furious. Still exhausted. Since Charles is still being bratty, I am sitting by the lake on the East Grounds, sulking. I am currently skipping a heavy iron shot-put ball off the water's surface, letting it slam into the stone retaining wall across the bank, and violently ripping it back. Crack. CRASH. Repeat. It is making an intolerable racket, and I know for a fact the thudding impacts are echoing directly up into his study.

“Yeah, fucking splendid” He mutters under his breath as he leaves Charles alone to continue his work.

His jaw clenches. Clearly this wasn’t the end of their little spat. Great. Just great. “Right… If that’s all you have to say then I’ll let you get on with whatever shit you’re doing”
"How unfortunate." I missed him too, though I wasn't going to admit that yet. The matter was far from settled.

Well that told him. Erik sighs admitting defeat in this current quarrel, he was just too tired to fight. “I missed you last night… I haven’t slept”
"I do know that. I also know that we can't go a week without *your* mutation obliterating something in this house, so perhaps you might step down off your pedestal for a moment and realize that everyone has moments of weakness. Even me."

He rolls his eyes “Yeah, well, good for you. I was furious too last night. You know very well to stay out of my head, Charles”
An interesting take from the man who stormed out of my study and sealed himself away in our bedroom. "I'm not sulking." The answer provided casually. "Furious... but not sulking."

I gather by that look you’re still sulking

Good morning, everyone. How are we today?

6:20 AM. Not a second of sleep. The lock remained open, yet the bed remained empty. Charles chose to make his point by spending the entire night away from me, rather than returning where he belongs.

He can enjoy that empty bed he so adamantly demanded. He won't find me in it, nor will he find me on the sofa in my own home. If he has an issue with that, I will gladly refer him to the very same two words he used to address me earlier.

It is almost three in the morning, and I am forced to admit that locking Charles out was a mistake. As infuriating as he was earlier, the simple reality is that I cannot sleep without him here, curled up against me. The bed is absurdly cold, and my mind will not quiet down. I have demagnetised the hinges and left the door unlocked. If he has any sense left in him tonight, he will leave that sofa and come to bed.

Now in bed, and furious. Having an agonising headache was bad enough without Charles acting like a smug, bratty child and violating me by reading my mind just to gloat. He thinks he is clever. He is not. The bedroom door is locked and the hinges are magnetised. He can sleep on his sofa in the study tonight.

He's not seen anything yet, I assure you.

The fact that he finally succeeded in earning my attention ought to be enough to inform him that *that* particular remark will not be without consequence.
What a bratty little shit Charles was being right now. “Fuck you, Charles.” He stands and storms to the study door. “I’m going to bed. Might be best for you to stay in here and work all night” With that he leaves, slamming the door behind himself.
