Thank you to our valued industry partners! The OTA Presidential Line members Doug Lundy, Brendan Patterson, Emil Schemitsch, Bill Obremskey, Dave Teague, and OTA staff hosted a productive roundtable with representatives from several key orthopaedic manufacturers, including Stryker, Smith+Nephew, Johnson & Johnson MedTech, Zimmer Biomet, Skeletal Dynamics, Solventum, Bonebridge, Integra LifeSciences, and MY01. This meeting provided a unique opportunity for open, in-depth and collaborative dialogue about the OTA's Strategic Plan, Fellowship Programs, Trauma Research Partnerships, the OTA Annual Meeting, and Global Partnerships. This was an important step in strengthening the mutually beneficial relationship we share. We’re grateful for the time and energy our industry partners invested in this meeting, and we look forward to continuing this constructive dialogue in the months and years ahead.

A 42-year-old cyclist sustained a proximal tibial fracture after a fall. Presenting with pain and localized swelling, chronic hypertension, and an initial diastolic pressure of 115 mmHg, the care team opted for continuous monitoring to manage the risk of compartment syndrome.

Using continuous compartment pressure monitoring, pressures were tracked over time, showing a downward trend that correlated with clinical improvement. Acute Compartment Syndrome was ruled out, and the patient avoided a fasciotomy. #Orthodox #healthcare
