Teachers, to start off 2022, I'm offering two free 30-minute virtual appearances. I can talk about writing, share a preview of I Survived in progress, or whatever you would like. No limit to the number of students, can do grades 3-8. RT to enter. I will notify winners 1/10.
Doing your holiday shopping this weekend, @MacArthurEagles ? Check out our hybrid book fair with @WellesleyBooks — shop in-store or at wellesleybooks.com. We get 20% of the proceeds! Classroom wish list links are in @PrincipalKmiec ‘s email from last week. Thank you!
Completely in love with the pumpkins in our amazing 2nd grade’s storybook pumpkin patch! 🧡 Nice to see nonfiction and biography represented too! @MacArthurEagles @MissBarresi @WalthamReadsK5 @MsCallahan121 @MissDiMasi
Outstanding author visit from @MrNathanHale today — grades 5 and 4 (attending virtually) were super impressed with his ability to tell and draw a good story. (Thunderclappers!) Thanks, @WellesleyBooks , for making this possible. @MacArthurEagles @MissBarresi @mrsbruosta
The International Space Station is complete, thanks to the diligent recess time work of some of our 5th graders! We are investigating ways of putting it in orbit in the library. @MacArthurEagles @MissBarresi
Rest in peace, Jerry Pinkney. 😢 We just added his lovely version of The Little Mermaid to our library. @WalthamReadsK5 npr.org/2021/10/20/104778631…
Our K students have been reading fiction and nonfiction books about weather. Sunny weather is a favorite, but windy, snowy, and rainy weather have fans too (especially if there’s a rainbow involved!). @MacArthurEagles @MissBarresi @MacArthurKinder
Vacation’s over! Tiny Coral is back at school, and she brought a book! Ms. Smogard made her her own sign, and some of our students made food web drawings for her. 😊 @MacArthurEagles @MissBarresi
