I really don’t understand why the decision was made in #macos13 Ventura to remove the “Hide” application option for automatic login apps in System Settings > General > Login Items. It’s been there for 20+ years of macOS. Can you explain @AppleSupport ?
I want to sell paper to Congress. They print reams and reams—thousands of pages—of shit no one has the time to read before they have to vote on it. Could there be a more defunct system?

Question: RGB images provided that need to print grayscale, but color for online articles. Better to convert to grayscale in Photoshop and create PDF, or keep as RGB, create PDF, and convert PDF to grayscale in Acrobat? @jmvrankin or @dblatner would love to hear your thought…

@typefi released @typefitter 5.2 with support for @InDesign! Anyone who sets books and other long documents definitely needs this plugin. I don’t start using a new version of InDesifn until Typefitter is compatible. You shouldn’t either!

2/2 Didn’t see that “Peel” and relied on past experience. Called @AppleSupport and was told I was her third caller with the same issue. Guess I’m not the only one who missed it. Need to make that more clear Apple. Thankfully I realized the problem b/c I almost called again!
1/2 Bought a new iPad and traded my old one in. @AppleSupport sends you a box for the old device. In the past, the box included a shipping label. Now however, you simply peel off the label used to ship the box to you which reveals the return label.

PDF Checkpoint now supports #macOS #Ventura: bit.ly/3FK8qHm Also fixes issues where ICC based color mode of some images was reported as Indexed instead of the actual color mode (CMYK, RGB etc.) #PDF #Preflight
And so the shit show begins. I don’t know what the kerfluffle between @Adobe and @pantone is, but I don’t see @QuarkXPress or @affinitybyserif having any problem.

The Preview app in macOS #Ventura apparently drops support for viewing PostScript (.ps) and Encapsulated PostScript (.eps) files.:

I haven’t run across a .ps file in years, but I routinely get and use .eps files.

Typefi’s plug-ins (#Typefitter, AutoFit, and Designer) aren’t quite ready yet for Adobe @InDesign 2023. Updates that are compatible with InDesign 2023 for Typefitter and AutoFit will be released very soon. For full details, please read this post: bit.ly/3MMgjxC

By far my favorite feature of @creativecloud 2023 is that Bridge finally behaves like a regular application in macOS, meaning I can finally scroll the Bridge Panels when in another application. #AboutTime
Thankfully I haven’t noticed this yet, but I wonder if it’s coming:

InDesign's Innovation saw it overtake Quark Xpress, but is that innovation still there? With users scripting their own solutions and competitors catching up, InDesign's developers should definitely take notice of their uservoice, community and challenges. colecandoo.com/2022/07/23/in…
