The Binance hack is exactly what Q Day will look like.
The fact there's still inaction in terms of PQC is maddening.
Thank goodness for $QTC .
Oh and great Circle and Tether have frozen funds, but equally, that's not freedom money in any sense of the word.

Last week in quantum:
@Starknet backed research into becoming an independent post-quantum Layer 1.
More than 93.5% of voting power backed the research, across 2,800+ wallets, and StarkWare didn’t vote. It’s research only. Any actual move needs a second vote, and a whitepaper draft is expected in November.
Quantum risk entered the insurance conversation.
@projecteleven named Relm Insurance a development partner for Strongpoint, its custody product, to explore how post-quantum security could factor into digital asset underwriting. No premium or policy changes have been announced.
@QuantinuumQC reported a new error-correction record.
Its Helios system reached 99.9995% logical memory fidelity per cycle, about 10 times better than its own September result.
That figure measures memory reliability, not a complete computation. The team also demonstrated improving logical gate accuracy, though further work remains to scale all the components needed for universal fault-tolerant computing.
Postquant Labs launched the Quip Virtual Machine.
The QVM provides a shared programming environment for quantum annealers, gate-based quantum computers, and classical machines, with a maximum cost quoted before execution.
It is live on @quipnetwork’s Aglais testnet.
Post-quantum readiness increasingly needs evidence. Chains need tested migration plans. Custodians need controls insurers can assess. Quantum hardware needs reliable computation beyond memory benchmarks.
The useful question is what each announcement actually demonstrates.

Don't stress about the quantum threat, just swap into $QTC
QTC is now live on @CoinMarketCap
It just got easier to find, track, and talk about post-quantum money

Crypto agility matters because no one can prove today’s post-quantum schemes will hold forever. If one fails, systems need a way to switch without starting over.
“All our eggs are kind of in one basket there. We don’t have another solution if that goes wrong.”
@conordeegan of @projecteleven on why the post-quantum transition needs a backup plan.
Quantum Secure Encrypted Collateral.
Quantum-secure collateral is coming to DeFi.
First lending market for $QTC, soon on @rhea_finance.

My view on the hashes vs lattices debate: nobody knows which assumption breaks first, so build systems that can move, and start now.

Quantus is one of the first projects ever to ship fully AI native
Quantum secure from the ground up, but also AI reviewed from day 1
We ran billions of tokens over the codebase over and over again until nothing of note was found anymore
We will continue doing this with every new model released, in perpetuity
Quantum secure encrypted money
PS: Also, to give credit where credit is due, the base layer of our chain was at a very high level already, having secured $ Billions in value for nearly a decade - AI found no criticals in the framework developed by Gavin Wood, co-founder of Ethereum and founder of Polkadot.

The Quantum Alliance launched to define quantum readiness
Ten contributors from nine organizations, including Quantus CEO @YuviLightman, launched the Quantum Alliance, an open standards body for post-quantum readiness in blockchain.
It will publish a public definition of quantum readiness, open test criteria, and reference designs for migration.
Starknet opened a vote on researching an exit from Ethereum
@Starknet opened a non-binding poll on whether to research becoming an independent post-quantum L1. Starknet targets full quantum resistance by 2027, and its bridge and data availability currently move on Ethereum’s schedule.
A Yes vote starts research only. The poll closes October 22.
AI designed more efficient quantum circuits
@AnthropicAI, working with researchers from Harvard and @QueraComputing, had Claude design circuits for eight quantum computing tasks. Each design beat the best previously published one.
One design for elliptic-curve point addition, the core step in quantum attacks on ECDSA, uses 17 times fewer gates than the smallest previous design. It reduces what a quantum algorithm needs to run.
Google made a key quantum ingredient far more reliable
Quantum computers need special “magic states” to run the full range of algorithms, including the kind that could one day break today’s encryption. They’re hard to make. Earlier estimates said producing them could take up to 95% of a machine’s qubits.
In a paper published in Science, Google showed a new method on its Willow chip that cut errors in these states about 40-fold. Google says it still has to work at larger scale.
Singapore set quantum-safe deadlines
Singapore’s Cyber Security Agency asked critical infrastructure operators to submit migration plans by March 2027 and finish migrating by the end of 2031. Other exposed organizations are encouraged to finish by 2035.
A grant for quantum-safe pilots opens November 1.
Germany set its own post-quantum timeline
Germany’s interior ministry, digital ministry, and federal security agency BSI published a national guideline implementing the EU’s post-quantum roadmap. High-risk systems should be quantum-safe by the end of 2030, with the rest largely migrated by 2035.
It also calls for crypto-agility, so cryptography can be swapped quickly as threats change.
Governments are setting dates. Researchers are making quantum computers easier to build and their algorithms cheaper to run.

Proud to be part of the Quantum Alliance.
@YuviLightman is one of its founding contributors, helping build standards that make post-quantum readiness verifiable.
🚨HUGE: Nine crypto groups officially launch the Quantum Alliance as over 6 MILLION Bitcoin sit EXPOSED.
Quantus, Keystone, Hacken and six others say about 6.04 MILLION $BTC, roughly 30% of supply, is "quantum-exposed at rest."
The alliance will set shared standards to test which networks and wallets are truly quantum-ready.
No quantum computer powerful enough to crack them exists yet.

Chris (@YuviLightman), founder of Quantus Network, studied math and computer science, plays piano, and named the project after the Latin word for “how much.”
He says he’s often been early to things because he wants to stick his nose into anything novel.
@QuantusNetwork launched its mainnet on September 9th, and he says a wave picked up behind the team right after. He thinks the industry’s $3T needs to go post-quantum and calls the engineering part “not that difficult.”
On today’s episode: how piano and math connect, why his old teacher’s “repeat until it’s easy” made him a better founder, and why he can tell the gremlins from the whales in Telegram.

Joe Mattia (@JoeMattia) has been in crypto since 2017, when his co-founder Chris handed him his first coins in the Bay Area.
After years of dollar cost averaging and speculating, he saw quantum disruption as an opportunity and became co-founder and COO of Quantus Network (@QuantusNetwork).
Quantus is built as quantum-secure Bitcoin: proof of work, 21M supply and cryptography designed for a post-quantum world from the foundation. After its TGE, the team is working with Near on marketing and growing volume on Near Intents.
On today’s episode: why the $2T crypto market has to migrate, why he doesn’t trust Bitcoin to coordinate in time, and why he calls quantum a structural change rather than a cycle.

You live on Earth.
You see all these hardware wallet security issues and decide to use an old phone as a cold wallet (coming soon to Quantus).
No internet, no bluetooth, no nfc.
Communicates via QR code with hot wallet.
Advantages:
- no crypto specific customer database
- looks like a phone
- has enough memory to do zk
- supply chain attacks less likely
