I don't get Burnham giving away 40 million. It too small to stop calls for reparation and its going to piss off the right

I work in payments there is evidence if payment in more places then Mastercard!
Why can’t hackers do something useful and relatable? Don’t be fucking around with freezers. Hack into Mastercard and wipe out all evidence of spending. Lower the prices at petrol pumps. Shut down Microsoft Teams, or takedown Outlook for 72 hours. Win hearts and minds!

There old sins are forgiven. Becoming Chritians requires repenting of your past and accepting Jeus who attuned for us
Dear Christians, I have a genuine question for you. If a Muslim converts to Christianity, what happens to the sins they committed while they were Muslims? Are those past sins forgiven when they accept Christianity, or do they continue carrying the same sins? I’m asking because Islam clearly teaches that when someone sincerely accepts Islam, their previous sins are forgiven. I’d appreciate an honest answer.

I hate to break this to you but I told my congregation it was reformation Sunday and they had 0 idea what I was on about
Today, Protestants celebrate 509 years without priests, 509 years without bishops, 509 years without confession, 509 years without the Holy Mass. They celebrate the denial of the sacraments, instituted by Jesus Christ so that we might receive God’s life within us, thanks to His life offered for us on the Cross. Between celebrating the 509th anniversary of that tragic event called the “Protestant Reformation” and celebrating Halloween, the first one seems a lot worse.

I will say if you wanted for nothing why on earth would you join starflower and possibly die in the vacuumed of space
Not really a huge Star Trek guy so I honestly don't know: is it ever explained properly how their post-scarcity economy actually functions? Every clip I see is just handwaving about "transcending greed" or not worrying about personal possessions any more.

Wothout Luther would a reformation started in the UK under Henery the 8th

I have always been a fan of Huss

If you think your building project is taking too long, Barcelona has a story for you. Construction of the Sagrada Família started in 1882, and work is still ongoing. 144 years later, they're still building one of the world's most remarkable churches.

The Reformation wouldn't have been possible without the martyrdom of these faithful men 🙏🏼

Why not tell ppl what to do if they just want a blessing. We say jist now your head and don't put your hands out
I hate the arms crossed thing. Why not just stay in your pew and pray? Who invented this?

Oh yeah I would have crossed my arms. What do you do. Ps just say no everyone understand shaking your head and then lowering it
Non-Catholics receiving Holy Communion in St. Peter’s Basilica today because some Americans decided to present themselves to the priest with their arms crossed, I guess to get a blessing, in a practice that is common in America but rare outside of the anglosphere, and one that makes no sense and should not happen at the distribution of Holy Communion.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The crossed-arms practice for seeking a blessing (not Communion) is used or instructed in France, the Netherlands, the UK, Spain and elsewhere, and appears in the video from St. Peter's. Vatican guidance discourages individual blessings during Communion distribution. adoremus.org/2009/02/on-giv… paroisse-maurice-bernard.fr/2025/10/31/lar… belgicatho.be/apps/print/520… poegham.wordpress.com/sacraments/the…

🇮🇪 Ireland's Taoiseach (PM) Micheál Martin is launching a new government body to research UNITY with Northern Ireland for the FIRST time. It will examine 3 scenarios: full 32-county unity, NI remaining in the UK, and a united Ireland with a devolved North under Dublin. Martin wants an evidence-based discussion, not partisan pushes that treat a border poll as easy and inevitable. He aims to include unionist voices. Cabinet proposals are expected before Christmas. Wouldn’t it be wild to see a united Ireland again? Source: Reuters / Writer: Jamie

A new Holy Roman Empire
Some people are upset that the pope just voted in the Midterm Election. I’ve got news for them. Under U.S. law, he can technically run for president too! And if he did, he would likely win! Don’t worry. Canon Law forbids it. But the pope can change canon law, so…

Why would he be liable for the Catholic chruch income, at best he's the CEO not the owner (who'd be Christ)
Will Pope Leo, as a US Citizen, be subject to US taxes on incomes received by the global Catholic Church? Has anyone alerted the IRS to potentially the most interesting audit target in history?
