Another way to get your hands on some resources is by starting fires. The return might not always be much, but it could be just the missing amount needed to build the next upgrade or weapon.

From April 2023, when I visited family and took my laptop with me so I could work on the game.
I'm glad everything fits into a backpack nowadays. Not too long ago this would have been a tower PC with a CRT monitor, surrounded by some hardware synths.

One way to gather resources is to find plants which will leave some behind after a roast. The cursor will indicate on the map what is destructible and what not.
