Absolutely! 🇿🇼🫐 Turning agriculture into exports, jobs and prosperity — this is NDS2 in action. The vision is clear! 💪🇿🇼
NDS2 🇿🇼🫐 FROM LAND REFORM TO GLOBAL MARKETS — BLUEBERRIES POWER ZIMBABWE’S VISION 2030! A reported US$56 MILLION BLUEBERRY OPPORTUNITY linked to British supermarket demand highlights the potential of Zimbabwean agriculture to generate export earnings, create jobs and build thriving local businesses. Under NDS2 (2026–2030), agricultural transformation, export growth, value addition and job creation are key priorities supporting Zimbabwe’s ambition of becoming a prosperous and empowered upper-middle-income society by 2030. 🇿🇼 🫐 What this means for ordinary Zimbabweans: ✅ Jobs for youth and women in farming, harvesting, grading, packaging and logistics. ✅ Foreign currency earnings from exporting high-value horticultural produce. ✅ Rural industrialisation through investment in irrigation, cold storage, processing and transport. ✅ Empowered farmers building commercially viable businesses and accessing international markets. ✅ Local value addition that keeps more economic benefits within Zimbabwe. The next step is to turn market opportunities into sustainable production, reliable export supply chains and greater participation by local farmers and businesses. From land ownership to productivity. From production to exports. From agricultural growth to national prosperity. This is the kind of productive, export-oriented agriculture that can contribute to NDS2 and Vision 2030 — creating opportunities, strengthening rural economies and ensuring that no community is left behind. 🇿🇼 Nyika inovakwa nevene vayo! Zimbabwe is well positioned to turn these engagements into meaningful progress under NDS2 and Vision 2030. Africa must not merely participate in the global economy; it must become a major producer, innovator and driver of its own prosperity. 🇿🇼
🇿🇼🌍 AFRICA MUST TURN DIPLOMATIC ENGAGEMENT INTO ECONOMIC TRANSFORMATION. The 2026 Russia–Africa Summit in Moscow, with 48 African nations represented, including 22 Heads of State, reflects the continent's growing commitment to strategic autonomy, diversified partnerships and mutually beneficial international cooperation. The priority must now be translating diplomatic engagements into tangible outcomes: 🔹 Energy security and technology transfer. 🔹 Infrastructure development and industrialisation. 🔹 Trade, investment and market access. 🔹 Agricultural mechanisation and food security. 🔹 Digital innovation, skills development and research. 🔹 Local beneficiation and value addition. Africa must engage the world on its own terms, guided by national interests and development priorities. Hosting the next Russia–Africa Summit on African soil would further reinforce the principle of equal partnership. For Zimbabwe, these opportunities align with NDS2 (2026–2030) and Vision 2030. Africa must move from resource supplier to industrial producer, from potential to productivity, and from diplomatic commitments to measurable development. One Africa. Shared prosperity. Mutually beneficial partnerships. 🇿🇼🌍

The true value of diplomacy lies in the economic opportunities and tangible development it delivers to ordinary citizens. Africa must leverage these strategic partnerships to accelerate industrialisation, technology transfer, infrastructure development and local value addition.

Understanding events such as the 1888 Rudd Concession helps us critically examine the historical foundations of our country, the decisions made by its leaders, and their long-term consequences. Remembering history is essential to understanding the Zimbabwe we are building today.
Today in History! The Rudd Concession for exclusive mining rights in Matabeleland, Mashonaland and other adjoining territories was granted by King Lobengula of Matabeleland to Charles Rudd, James Rochfort Maguire & Francis Thompson, on behalf of Cecil Rhodes on October 30, 1888
