BREAKING: HOLY SMOKES! Democrats now control enough states to effectively abolish the Electoral College through the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact. Republicans did NOT have this on their bingo cards... Under the Constitution, states control their electoral votes and are allowed to decide how they are allocated during presidential elections. Currently, almost every state gives its votes to whoever wins the state. In practice, the current system means that a candidate can win the national popular vote, but lose the election because small states like Wyoming exert undue influence on the outcome. That state has 3 electoral votes with a population of just 577,000 people. California has 54 electoral votes and a population of 39.5 million people. So a vote in Wyoming is essentially 3.8 times as valuable as one in California. Since 1992, Democrats have won the popular vote seven out of nine times. Under the NPV, states that join agree to give their electoral votes to whoever wins the national popular vote, not just their own state. So a state could go red on the map, but if the Democrat wins the national vote, they still get that state's votes. And vice versa of course. The crucial mechanism is that the compact doesn't trigger until the member states have a combined power of at least 270 electoral votes, the number needed to win the White House. So far, 18 states plus D.C. have joined, totaling 222 electoral votes. We only need 48 more. Now is the chance to pass this measure in every state possible. Democrats won both houses of the legislature in Wisconsin for the first time in 18 years (10 electoral votes). We won the Pennsylvania state Senate for the first time since 1993 (19 votes). We now have a trifecta in Michigan (15 votes). And we won the governor’s race in Nevada (6 votes). 10 + 19 + 15 + 6 = 50. 222 + 50 = 272. And if we hold our lead in the Arizona Senate, that number could climb as high as 283, more than enough to trigger the compact. In addition to removing an imbalance in our system that favors Republicans, this novel approach would fundamentally change how candidates run their presidential campaigns. Currently, they are incentivized to ignore most of the country. If you live in a “safe” state, red or blue, your vote for President is basically decided before you cast it. Campaigns spend their time and money in a handful of swing states while the rest of us watch from the sidelines. If the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact is adopted, they'll have reason to hit every state because they're aiming to win the largest swath of the country as a whole, not just certain states. States have until July 20, 2028 to join the compact in time for the next presidential election. We can fix our democracy. The time is now. Please like and share if you support this idea!

Tell me you don't know how space works, without telling me. And Elon is blowing smoke again.

Ignorance of governance systems contribute towards the mess we are in. Or this is deliberate misinformation. The DA doesn't run wards with regards service delivery. They are your voice in governance. They are very strictly NOT allowed to give instructions to municipal workers.
Our ward is DA run and they are protesting about the issues we’ve experienced for years now, water and potholes etc. tell me WHY they are blaming the ANC… excuse me???? your councillor lives here go ask her 🤣

People seem confused about why Tesla is getting so much backlash over its new "flying Roadster." For those of us who were once genuinely enthusiastic about Tesla, this isn't about hating innovation. It's about a long history of broken promises, misleading expectations, and increasingly absurd marketing. Tesla unveiled the second-generation Roadster in 2017, took customer deposits, and promised deliveries in 2020. Six years past that deadline, it still hasn't delivered the car. Instead, it's demonstrating an even more outrageous version with features that will likely never make it into production. The original 2nd gen Roadster would still be an amazing car today. Why not just deliver what was promised? Then there's Full Self-Driving. Tesla marketed the idea that Model 3 owners could turn their cars into income-generating robotaxis. That never materialized. Even if the technology eventually gets there, the opportunity has already passed for many early buyers. Timing matters. Delivering something a decade late isn't fulfilling the promise you sold to customers. And then there's Solar Roof. Unveiled in 2016 as a revolutionary approach to residential solar, it struggled with costs, installation challenges, and adoption far below expectations. After nearly a decade, Tesla discontinued it entirely in August 2026. Another grand vision abandoned, leaving existing customers with a discontinued product to maintain. Then came the Cybertruck, marketed as a nearly indestructible, revolutionary truck. Instead, we got a vehicle with questionable build quality, numerous recalls, expensive repairs, disappointing results in several real-world off-road tests, and specifications that fell short of the original promises. It literally looks like a dumpster, but aesthetics aside, the collapsing demand speaks volumes about the reality of what Tesla delivered. Another heavily hyped product that fell dramatically short of expectations. This is how consumer trust erodes. Not through one disappointment, but through years of accumulating them. And this is part of the reason why many people who were once enthusiastic about Tesla have become critical and cynical about it. But there's something even more fundamental here: Tesla has completely departed from the grounded, practical vision that made so many of us enthusiastic about the company in the first place. Electric cars were ambitious, but the idea was grounded in reality. People could charge at home, infrastructure could gradually expand, technology could improve, and millions of ordinary people could eventually benefit. There was a realistic path toward mass adoption. What the hell does a flying Roadster powered by compressed-air thrusters have to do with any of that? It's an expensive, impractical engineering stunt with enormous packaging, safety, and regulatory challenges, and no credible near-term path toward mass-market usefulness. Modern electric cars already achieve ridiculous acceleration without this nonsense. What practical problem does it solve? Who actually needs it? When will ordinary consumers benefit? And watching Tesla fans compare this experimental prototype in a Roadster-shaped shell to actual production vehicles people can buy today is ridiculous. What's especially infuriating is the cult-like mentality surrounding all of this. You can't point out the history of failed promises, question the practicality, or demand realistic timelines without being accused of being a "hater" or having "Elon derangement syndrome." Tesla deserves recognition for helping make electric cars a reality, but that success doesn't give it a blank check to keep marketing increasingly fantastical promises while failing to deliver on previous commitments. This isn't hatred. It's disappointment from people who once believed in the company, watched it accomplish extraordinary things, and have since watched it increasingly substitute practical innovation with spectacle and promises. Elon fanboys are also ignoring a bigger pattern that goes beyond Tesla. What made many of us enthusiastic about Elon and Tesla and in the first place was a grounded vision of technological progress that could genuinely improve millions of lives. Electric cars were ambitious, but practical, achievable, and useful to ordinary people. Now we're supposed to get excited about flying cars with compressed-air thrusters that have no credible path to mass adoption and solve no meaningful problem for the average consumer. It's the same kind of thinking behind marketing the colonization of Mars as some urgent necessity for humanity's survival. There's nothing wrong with space exploration, but Earth isn't about to become uninhabitable because of the Sun. We're talking about geological timescales, while humanity faces enormous problems RIGHT NOW: poverty, hunger, access to education, corruption, abuse of power, wars, and a lack of government accountability. We have plenty of very real problems to solve before worrying about humanity's survival on another planet. And then there's DOGE. I was genuinely excited about the original idea of making government more efficient, reducing waste, and increasing accountability. Instead, we got questionable savings figures, inexperienced people making sweeping decisions, serious concerns over access to sensitive personal information, and an initiative that ultimately fizzled out without delivering its grand promises. Another enormous narrative that fell apart when confronted with reality. That's what makes all of this so frustrating. It's not that we stopped believing in technological progress. It's that we've watched someone who once pursued grounded, transformative ideas increasingly embrace fantastical promises, political spectacle, and questionable narratives disconnected from practical reality. And somehow, pointing out this history of disappointment gets you labeled a "hater" or accused of having "Elon derangement syndrome." The problem isn't dreaming big. It's repeatedly selling people those dreams, failing to deliver, and then expecting everyone to applaud the next, even more ridiculous promise without asking what happened to the last one. The world doesn't need more spectacular promises. It needs practical solutions to real problems, honest expectations, and accountability for what was promised. That's what made Tesla exciting in the first place, and that's what so many of us feel has been betrayed.

Whatever Christa Pike did, Tennessee strapped a living woman to a table and tried to Murder her last night. They stuck her with needles again and again. They pumped her full of enough pentobarbital to execute a horse Then they waited for her to die. She didn’t. Today, an American Woman is lying in a hospital in critical condition while politicians discuss investigations, new protocols and how the government might do a better job murdering the next person. Read that again. The State tried to Murder a restrained human being. It failed. Doctors then had to try to save the same life the State of Tennessee had just deliberately tried to end. If that sentence doesn’t make you uncomfortable, ask yourself what exactly the word “government” changes about murdering a defenseless person. You can despise what Christa Pike did to Colleen Slemmer. You can demand that Pike spend the rest of her life behind bars. None of that requires cheering while the State straps an American woman to a table, fills her veins with poison and waits for her heart to stop. This is what the death penalty actually looks like when you remove the sterile language. Not “justice.” Abolish the Death Penalty. …except in cases of High Treason and War.

Why ActionSA's power grab in Tshwane has failed spectacularly. In October 2024, ActionSA decided to betray the DA in Tshwane to seize the mayoralty with the help of ANC and the EFF. Up until that point they had served in the coalition for 3 years and held the post of Deputy Mayor. The deal involved voting in Dada Morero in Joburg and floating the ANC government in that city. Mashaba has proudly posted about this. Why did they want Brink gone? Simply put, he was delivering. Things were on the up in Tshwane, he was popular and ActionSA were desperate to get some relevance after a shocking 2024 election performance. In order to make their betrayal in Tshwane stick they did two things. First, they attempted to paint the DA and Brink as some villain. Ignoring the past 3 years of working together. Suddenly he was the devil. Second, they tried to paint themselves as the self-righteous, morally upstanding saviors of Tshwane. The ANC and EFF were happy to play along, until they werent. The honeymoon phase didnt last long. By mid-2025 it was coming undone. A number of scandals hit. A disastrous waste levy was implemented and overturned. Moya was exposed as having kept overpayments on her salary she should have returned. The ANC Deputy Mayor was found to be benefitting from security contracts while having nothing done to him. The ANC and EFF declared they wanted the City Manager gone while ActionSA ignored them. R777 million was spent on water tankers in one year. Water tanker companies were being linked to ANC leaders. Electricity outages worse than loadshedding. In 2026, it got worse. The Madlanga commission blew the lid on more dirty deals. An ActionSA MMC was fired after being exposed. The ActionSA MMC for Community Safety was shown as having failed in oversight on TMPD recruitment and ensuring proper care of security services management. Recently, there has a been a disastrous hit job on the City Manager which has failed dismally and alienated the administration from the politicians and comprehensively split the coalition. And now, two months out of the election, Moya is being dogged by a scandal concerning rennovations at her private residence. One allegation concerning whether back-handed deals with city contractors were involved. The other being if there are any approved building plans. Worse still. ActionSA is polling at below what they received in Tshwane in 2021. Should they fail to even improve on their 2021 result it would signal a complete reaction of their leadership and Moya's mayoralty in the capital.
