A few #Bloomsday selections from our members!
Bloomsday celebrates Thursday 16 June 1904, the day depicted in James Joyce’s novel Ulysses. The day is named after Leopold Bloom, the central character in Ulysses.

Behind the rather grand facade of @MaggsBros, we discover that Ed has supplied clippings of The Executions Of Old London @thegentleauthor, what other levels of depravity are hidden away in the beating heart of the antiquarian🙈🙉🙊 spitalfieldslife.com/2021/06…
"We spend our days, each of us, looking for the secret of life. Well, my friends, the secret of life is in art.
Oscar Wilde.”
A splendid aphoristic inscription by Oscar Wilde, quoting the coda to his lecture The English Renaissance of Art.

Yes, @Quaritch may have been in business for 174 years, but are their catalogues as SHINY as this? No? That's right, I DIDN'T THINK SO.
Maggs Bros have reached the significant milestone of 1500 catalogues! To celebrate we’ve produced a gloriously gaudy tome filled with diverse and interesting items; and with personal commentary from our wonderful colleagues. ✨📚

Went into the office last week to check on post and rediscovered these perfumes (I believe made for an ILAB congress a few years ago). As expected 'The Scent Of A Bookman' is quite rich and woody, perhaps with further scent notes only rare booksellers would be able to recognise?
