And for anyone worried about Boozer’s shooting struggles: Boozer - 44 TS% 4 GP Wilson - 50 TS% 4 GP Acuff - 41 TS% 3 GP Darryn Peterson - 43 TS% 4 GP Mikel Brown - 38 TS% 2 GP Entire rookie class is well below average at the moment. I wouldn’t anticipate things staying that way

Acuff-KPJ backcourt is objectively a nice backcourt pairing

The Denver Nuggets and Sacramento Kings are among the teams interested in Kevin Porter Jr., per @TheSteinLine & @JakeLFischer “Yet several teams, sources say, are still evaluating their respective backcourts and could emerge as potential Porter suitors depending on how things unfold. Two such teams, according to sources, are Denver and Sacramento.” (Via marcstein.substack.com/p/the…)

Let Darius Acuff cook! The more reps he gets, the better for his long term development

Will Doug Christie finally give Alex Karaban a chance?

The Kings say Keegan Murray has been diagnosed with left ankle capsulitis and will be out for at least 10 to 14 days.

"Stop drafting older rookies and leaving them on the pine! Especially if you're gonna trade up to get him!" @the_stilesfiles sounds off about the Kings not playing Alex Karaban:

If we’re worried about efficiency, Darius Acuff is shooting a higher percentage from the field than 6’9 Cam Boozer through three games

Why does this matter? This is exactly how your lottery pick should start out his career on a dogshit franchise with no hope of doing anything this year. Let him develop

Fun fact: Darius Acuff Jr. has the most shot attempts in NBA history through the first 3 games of a player’s career with 74. Game 1: 24 FGA Game 2: 26 FGA Game 3: 23 FGA He’s also the first player to attempt at least 20 shots in each of his first 3 career games.

A prominent NBA decision-maker texted me Sunday night on Darius Acuff Jr.: “He’s the best scorer from this draft. He’s a revitalization for the Kings. He’s the most lethal scorer I’ve seen this early in their career in a long time. Tenacious and competitive.”

Through 3 games, the Sacramento Kings... Have allowed each team to score 120+ points Are shooting just 28% from 3PT range Have 63 assists vs. 45 turnovers A lot to clean up.
