Mainliners u17

When it’s all said and done, I couldn’t be prouder of these boys today, 1-0 down to Northfield, up against it and we turned it on. Final score 3-2, every one of them excellent but Patrick with 2 and Dominic at the back MOTM, double cup winners 🏆 🏆

Bare bones this morning, starting with 10 for 30 against L11. Tough start to end up 3-1 down but battled back to a 3-3 draw. Tough game, tough opposition and probably a fair result. MOTM Ben A, out of position and superb 👊

No game this week, AFC Liverpool unable to field a team so we take the 3 points and move on to 1 of the league leaders Canada next week. Let’s go 👊

A result that’s been coming, comfortable winners today despite going behind twice! Winning 9-2 but more importantly the first signs of us gelling as a team, superb from back to front. MOTM went to Patrick, all round play, hat trick and a couple of assists too. On to the next one

County cup defeat yesterday against a good Blackbrook u18 team. Really close competitive game, the wind late on helped them and hindered us, wouldn’t mind a rematch in the future, good football on display for both teams. Good luck in the next round. MOTM Joel, back to his best 👊

Good game this morning v Northfield, going 1-0 up before a mix up at the back for them to level before a well worked second putting us behind at the break. Had chances but couldn’t take them losing narrowly 2-1 but a good game. MOTM Freddie at the back, superb.

Strange game this morning, MSB clinical in front of goal and we simply could not score until late. Beat 7-2, could have been 8-8 as per their manager. Strange one! MOTM Ben R, superb in midfield. We go again next Sunday 👊

Back to it against familiar foe @Santosjfc14 Always competitive but today we got the rub of the green winning 2-1, in truth but for some incredible saves and defending we’d have scored more but instead had to dig in to get the win. Zack MOTM superb. Council, cut the grass ffs

5 lads left us in the summer, we were lucky enough to bring 6 in and possibly 1 or 2 more to go. The teams looking stronger than ever, can’t wait to get going Sunday. Up the Mainliners 👊

Final friendly of the summer v L11 last night, great first half before the curse of injuries struck at the end of the half and in the second. 9 men at times and well beaten, shows why a large squad is needed. Onto the season a week on Sunday hoping the injuries aren’t too bad 🤞

Anyone able to host a friendly this Sunday 23rd. More than happy to split costs just cannot host.

First pre season game tonight v Croxteth Park FC open age. They’re a new team and first half went ahead before our lads got back into it, losing 4-3 but can be proud of themselves. MOTM Jake who was superb. Well in boys, massive step up and held their own 👏

Looking forward to getting back to action tomorrow in our first pre-season friendly. Fitness levels increasing week after week, it’s good to be back. Up the Mainliners 👊

Mainliners 2026 Double Cup Winners Proud of each and every single one of them, took us 3 years but it came together last weekend. We’ve lost some players we’ve gained some players but they all player their part. We’ve beat the best the league could throw at us. Roll on 26/27 🏆🏆

Brilliant game this morning v unbeaten Northfield. Every player putting a shift in, winning battles with us edging a tight game 2-1. It could have been 4-4 but we got the rub of the green today. MOTM Joe Mc, best player on the pitch, won everything. Onto the final v Northfield 😂

Great game this morning with a couple of dubious decisions thrown in by the ref v Quarry Green. We edged it this morning 5-4, hanging on for the last 5 minutes! MOTM went to James and Joel, both superb. Onto next week 👊
