Far too many #Ward6 shootings. Another @charlesallen "safety walk" or panel session is not the answer. It's time for a new councilmember who truly prioritizes neighborhood safety.
It just doesn’t end. They can’t win on merit so they stoop to stealing signs.

Earlier this year, @charlesallen voted against strengthening penalties for retail theft. But Charles delivers for #Ward6 with stores locking up basic products on shelves.

Actions have consequences. Weakening laws, showing leniency towards violent criminals, & defunding the police inevitably lead to increased crime. Charles Allen’s disastrous policies, during his tenure as Chairman of the Judiciary and Public Safety Committee from 2017-2022, have brought us to this critical point. Our elected officials must be held accountable for their failures.
This past weekend alone, #DC saw multiple reported crimes, contributing to what is projected to be the 2nd most violent year in 26 years. We can’t continue to live like this. #EnoughIsEnough

This response is such a deflection. If you want to take down every member of the council, go for it. As for the organizers of the recalls, they can’t save the world. But they can start in their own backyards.

I wouldn't describe people's concerns about crime as "being a Karen." I think we've had some real crime issues. We had crime in places that we hadn't had it, and we had scary crimes.
But the system didn't get sideways overnight.
